Anxious to become an "official" detective rather than a mere private eye, Magnum hires on as security chief at the ritzy Hawaiian Gardens Hotel. His first assignment--which may also turn out to be his last--is to prevent a notorious cat burglar from plying his trade at an international convention of jewelry designers.
