This spaghetti western finds a despotic mine owner (Eduardo Fajardo) the target for revenge by the idealistic patriot Eufemio (Tony Musante). He hires Bill Douglas (Franco Nero) to incite a revolution that will oust the government and the greedy miner. Douglas agrees as long as his creature comforts are insured during the crossing of the unforgiving desert. Ricciolo (Jack Palance) is the mercenary working for the side of the mineowner. Also known as Cauldron of Blood, Blind Man's Bluff is a Spanish-made horror film long on gore but short on logic. Several beautiful models have disappeared, and the prime suspect is blind sculptor Boris Karloff, a surly and secretive sort who produces skeletal statues. Lovely model Rosanda Monteros tries to get to the bottom of the mystery, and of course nearly winds up a victim herself. The killer is not Karloff but his wife Viveca Lindfors, who hopes to sustain her husband's reputation by providing fresh skeletons for his artwork. Lindfors ends up hoisted on her own petard when she accidentally dips her arm in a vat of acid. Yeccch. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Samuel Bronston Productions was pretty much obliterated in 1964 by the failure of The Fall of the Roman Empire. Three years later, Bronston tried to rebuild his old empire by teaming up with a pair of South American entrepreneurs; the result was Savage Pampas. Set in the Argentina of the 1890s, the film tells the story of a clever bandit leader (Ron Randell) who buys off the soldiers sent to capture him--then enlists the deserters in his own gang. But Army fort commander Robert Taylor can't be bribed, and takes it upon himself to defeat the bandit. Based on an interesting plot from a novel by Robert Sheckley, this movie features tongue-in-cheek performances by Andress and Mastroianni, which are responsible for its status as a minor cult favorite. Set in the 21st century, this science fiction movie depicts a society in which population control is facilitated by the use of legalized murder. The society plays an assassination game for fun, in which the last person left alive is the winner. The movie is made for entertainment, but there are some sexual situations. ~ All Movie Guide

Joe Machin (William Campbell) is the devil-may-care auto racer with a reputation that doesn't endear him to other racers on or off the track. Joe makes fast time with women, often incurring the wrath of the jilted boyfriends that lose their girls to him. One such malcontent is Stephen Children, a former racer turned author. When Stephen loses his fiancee to the fast moving racer, he brings out his poison pen to write and unflattering expose on Joe. This slow-paced, uneven costume drama centers on the life and times of the legendary Andalucian bandolero, Diego Corrientes-Mateos, born in August of 1759 in the town of Utrera. Set against a backdrop of scenic countryside landscapes and idyllic small towns, Corrientes' story unfolds. As this film illustrates, he took up a nomadic existence through no fault of his own, and robbed from the rich to give to the poor. His generosity is his most salient character trait, along with his refusal to kill or harm anyone he robbed. Sought by his arch-nemesis Don Francisco de Bruma, the regent of Seville, Corrientes was betrayed and captured in March of 1781. After three weeks in abominable conditions in a solitary cell, he was dragged to his place of execution, hanged, and then dismembered.
