Jean Porter Movies
In films from 1941, pert brunette leading lady
Jean Porter
was quickly signed by MGM, where she clicked with the public as a manic autograph hound in

Porter
went on to prominent roles in such MGM productions as
Andy Hardy's Blonde Trouble
(1944),
Abbott and Costello in Hollywood
(1945), and
Easy to Wed
(1946). In the late '40s, she married writer/director
Edward Dmytryk
, then virtually retired from films.
Jean Porter
briefly returned to the screen in a supporting role in the
Dmytryk
-directed
