When you hear the happy jingle of the ice cream truck driving down your neighborhood street, lock your doors and pray to the Dairy Queen that the Ice Cream Man doesn't stop to bring you a cone -- because a soft-serve headache is nothing compared to the pain that this dairy demon will make you feel! As a child, Gregory Trudor (Clint Howard) suffered severe mental trauma when he witnessed the brutal murder of his best friend "The Ice Cream King." As an adult, all Gregory wanted was to take the place of the man he looked up to most, but the terror that haunts him drives a murderous bloodlust that can only be satiated by committing horrific acts of cold-blooded murder. The kids always used to come running when the familiar jingle of the Ice Cream Man's truck filled the neighborhood streets -- now they'll be running for their lives. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
Exploitation king Fred Olen Ray was well entrenched in his "Erotic Thriller" phase (typified by films like Inner Sanctum) when he turned out this oddball mix of salacious schemes and demonic possession. When creatively blocked horror writer Howard (Ted Prior) buys an oversized jar containing a silly-looking pickled monster from a tiny shop in Chinatown, he quickly falls under the thing's supernatural influence. Not only can he churn out reams of manuscript pages like never before, he also becomes more sexually aggressive -- a change which troubles his reserved wife Peggy (statuesque Sandahl Bergman), particularly after the arrival of sexy blonde live-in secretary Carol (Shannon Tweed, whose presence had become ubiquitous in films of this kind). The plot thickens when we learn that Carol is also conspiring with her partner Murray (Frank Sivero), Howard's greedy agent, to steal his manuscript. Carol soon becomes the puppet of the thing in the jar as well, playing violent sexual games with the couple, terrorizing Peggy at every turn, and ultimately turning on Murray -- leading to a hyper-violent climax which has nearly every character blasting away at his/her co-conspirator with automatic weaponry. Despite the heftier financial backing of Columbia Home Video, this is still exploitation in the classic Ray tradition, filled with the usual bucketloads of nudity and kinky sex, and featuring cameos from such familiar B-movie faces as Ray Silva and Turhan Bey, as well as Kato Kaelin as a busboy in the restaurant scene with Bey. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide
An aspiring reporter looking for a big story finds one big enough to kill her in this suspense thriller. Hoping to dig up some dirt on Flynn as a way of getting his attention, Omy's friend Joule (Corey Feldman) lends her a "lipstick camera," a tiny video camera that can be hidden undetected in a room to monitor its activities. Omy is able to plant the camera in the home of Flynn's associate Lily (Sandahl Bergman); however, what the camera sees is far more shocking than Omy ever imagined, and soon a pair of former intelligence agents turned hit men are after her, wanting to make sure that the images she's recorded are seen by no one else. This episode of The Firm Parts concentrates on toning the lower body through the use of standing leg exercises. Five separate segments, with five separate instructors, are each introduced by host Salina Bartunek. Exercises include lunges, leg presses, adductions, and squats. Equipment supported by this video includes dumbbells, ankle weights, and the Fanny Lifter. The workout is bookended on each side by periods of stretching exercises. The pace of this video is intense and the exercises, while certainly effective, may be too strenuous for beginners. However, those workout fiends in search of a challenge should step right up to Standing Legs. ~ Rob Ferrier, All Movie Guide

The great nuclear holocaust has come and gone, and humanity is hanging on a string. Women rule what's left, and the world is filled with giant mutant humanoid frogs who have started their own communities. Fertile human males have become one of the rarest things on Earth. This really low-budget sci-fi adventure chronicles the exploits of one of those men, the wandering loner Sam Hell (as played by former wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper). The tale begins as Hell is caught and tried for raping a woman. Realizing that he is fertile, Medtech, the organization devoted to repopulating the world, takes him and forces him to wear high-tech underwear designed to control his lusty tendencies and to keep him from squandering his seed on infertile ladies. Maddie's determination leads to a bizarre side trip to the funeral of David's former brother in law. The episode's dream sequence, filmed in Glorious Technicolor and featuring Sandahl Bergman as a vision of David's ex-wife, was choreographed by the great Stanley Donen in a manner reminiscent of his earlier work in Singin' in the Rain--and if Cybill Shepherd looks uncomfortable in this scene, it is because she fought against appearing in the fantasy dance, arguing that she had no place in David's imaginings. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Columbia Pictures spent as estimated $8 million dollars on this laughless sex comedy that crashes and burns before ever leaving the ground. Two bumbling boneheads who are kicked out of flying school decide to remain airborne by becoming stewardesses. Bathroom humor, sight gags, and the prerequisite nudity are the lowlights of this forgettable film. The only interest is the appearance of former Playboy bunny Yuliis Ruval. This undistinguished sci-fi fantasy is set in a post-holocaust world where "She" (Sandahl Bergman) rules over one of several different tribes with weird and supernatural abilities. Some tribesmen are like lizards, they can grow back a limb after it is cut off -- or just a whole other clone of themselves. A leader named Godan (Gregory Snegoff) has glow-in-the-dark peepers that can raise his opponents right up off the ground. Unfortunately, the eyes do not always have it. They could not do the same for the script which has the action lurch along in disjointed episodes and leaves the balance of entertainment to the costumes and sets. Other versions of "She" preceded this effort by Avi Nesher. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
