You just can't keep a good demoness down, and the same beastie causing all the commotion in The Bare Wench Project comes back to cause more trouble in this sequel. Four college co-eds were lost in the woods while doing a search on the local legend the Bare Wench; they were never seen again, and Nikki (Nikki Fritz), whose twin sister (also known as Nikki -- apparently Mom and Dad had other things on their mind) was lost, organizes a search party to find them. However, it isn't long before Nikki and friends also encounter the dreaded Bare Wench (Julie Strain), and before you know it frightened naked women are making their way through the woods like squirrels from a rifle shot. Also released as The Bare Wench Project 2: Scared Topless, Book of Babes: Bare Wench 2 also stars Griffin Drew, Samantha Phillips, and Lenny Juliano. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

A cheerleading squad find themselves stranded in the mountains, while a convicted serial killer is on the loose, rampaging the area in yet another pseudo-sequel to The Slumber Party Massacre. With only their wits and pom poms to guide them, a group of six high school teens are led into the wilderness by their coach Ms. Hendricks (ex- Fear Factor winner Tamie Sheffield) and wise-crackin' bus driver Buzzy (Leonard Johnson) when their van breaks down in the middle of the woods. Meanwhile, the manhunt is on for a crazy driller-killer that's escaped from prison, seeking fresh blood and vengeance for those that wronged him in the past. When our gorgeous group finds shelter in a seemingly abandoned cottage, the temperature goes from cold to hot, as hormones rage while the body count piles up. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, All Movie Guide

The polluters on planet Earth pose a significant risk to the rest of the galaxy and for this reason two alien agents from the Intergalactic Environmental Protection Agency are dispatched to destroy the offending world. This erotic sci-fi parody chronicles their adventures that begin with the suicide of a young man who soon after ingesting a fatal glass of bleach finds his body inhabited by one of the aliens who calls himself Bailey. The newly revived fellow begins hitchhiking to Vegas where he is picked up by Wilma, her fiance Hiram, and the luscious Eve who has come to witness their upcoming nuptials. En route, after telling them that he is a sex maniac from outer space, Bailey kills the happy couple and kidnaps Eve to a warehouse where he tries to seduce her, but not before he tells her of his mission. Later Bailey's partner Brick Bardo shows up and corroborates his outlandish story. He too tries to sleep with Eve. Things really get crazy when a re-animated Wilma shows up and reveals herself to be a cosmic cop who has come to arrest the phony alien agents who have stolen a destructive weapon. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

The "Tall Man" and his strange little Killer Sphere return for a second round in this sequel to the 1979 cult favorite. Mike Pearson (James LeGros) is still plagued by memories of the Tall Man (Angus Scrimm), an evil mortician who has risen from the grave and bleeds embalming fluid -- and tried to kill him as a boy. Mike has been a patient in a mental institution for the last decade, insisting that the Tall Man is real; he still appears in his dreams ten years after their first encounter. When Mike changes his tune and says that the undead undertaker was merely a hallucination, he is finally released. However, Mike and his best friend, Reggie (Reggie Bannister), are actually out to find the Tall Man and put an end to his habits of grave-robbing and draining people's bodies with his flying brain-juicer. As they search for the Tall Man, Mike encounters Liz (Paula Irvine), a woman who has also appeared in his dreams, and she claims that she too has been pursued by the Tall Man. Phantasm II was followed by a third installment in 1994, and a fourth in 1998. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

This third entry in the Phantasm series is the poorest of all. This time, Mike (Michael Baldwin) and Reggie (Reggie Bannister) meet some new friends and join up with Jody (Bill Thornbury) from beyond the dead in their quest to stop the "Tall Man" (Angus Scrimm). The film has good special effects -- and Scrimm is at his best here -- but it answers all the wrong questions and not enough of the right ones. ~ Sean D. MacLaggan, All Movie Guide

The story contained in this bizarre psychological drama/horror movie adds a new dimension to the term "dysfunctional family." It is set in a small town in New Mexico and is told through the eyes of "Sonny Boy," a horribly abused child who was raised by the brutal giant Slue, who rules Harmony with an iron fist and makes his money stealing and fencing televisions. Slue's "wife" and fellow gang member is the cross-dresser Pearl. They get Sonny Boy after their fellow gang-mate Weasel botches a car theft and kills the owners. He brings the car back and that's when they find the baby, whom Slue would have fed to the hogs had not Pearl begged him to let him raise the child. The kid might have been better off dead, for Slue constantly tortures the boy and even sets him afire one day. When not "toughening the boy up," Slue keeps him in a water tower and only feeds him live chickens to give him a craving for fresh blood. Seventeen years pass in this way. One day, Slue gets angry with the town mayor, loads Sonny in an ice cream truck and takes him to visit the town leader. Sonny Boy rushes in and bites the hapless mayor in the neck. From then on, Slue uses the poor teen to terrorize the town. One day, he leaves the boy briefly in a bar where Sonny meets seductive Sandy and is attracted to her. Had Slue not cut out his tongue, to keep Sonny from telling secrets to the police, he would have talked to the girl. Later Slue goes off on a business trip and Weasel and another take Sonny Boy out to kill a prospector for his gold. This is the final straw and the townsfolk finally retaliate. Sonny Boy survives the ensuing massacre and for the first time in his life is given a chance for normalcy and maybe even happiness. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

When they discover that their deceased boss had stashed away two million illegally embezzled dollars in a Caribbean safe deposit box, two co-workers decide to claim the cash. To do so, however, they must convince everyone the boss is actually alive -- a situation which seems oddly familiar to them both. This sequel to the popular 1989 comedy Weekend at Bernie's promises more of the same: slapstick with an amazingly lifelike corpse at the center. Whatever freshness the premise may have once had has vanished, however, and the occasionally clever set pieces become lost under the weight of a number of cluttered subplots. ~ Judd Blaise, All Movie Guide
