L'Opéra de Lyon mounted this stage production of Jacques Offenbach's four-act opera bouffe La vie parisienne in 2007. As directed by Laurent Pelly, it stars Jean-Sébastien Bou as Raoul de Gardefeu, Marc Callahan as Bobinet, and Maria Riccarda Wesseling as Métella. The Opéra National de Paris mounted this December 2005 production of Sergei Prokofiev's satirical 1919 opera L'Amour des trois oranges (The Love for Three Oranges), performed at the Bastille. The cast includes Charles Workman as The Prince, Barry Banks as Trouffaldino, Philippe Rouillon as The King of Trèfle, Jean-Luc Ballestra as Pantalon and Aleksandra Zamojska as Ninette. Gilbert Deflo directs for the stage, William Orlandi designed the sets and costumes, and Marta Ferri did the choreography.
