Alexandra Paul Movies
Leggy, athletic leading lady Alexandra Paul spent her first years in films and TV in roles calling for acute physical fitness. Paul's earliest movie role of note was sensuous hitchhiker Becky in American Flyers (1986).Ms. Paul was cast against type in the Dan Aykroyd-Tom Hanks spoof Dragnet (1987) as the ever-imperiled Virgin Connie Swail (just plain "Connie Swail" by fade-out time). On TV, Paul had a recurring role as erstwhile detective Amy Hastings in the Perry Mason 2-hour specials of the late 1980s. In 1992, Alexandra Paul was cast as lifeguard Stephanie Holden on the internationally popular Baywatch, remaining with the series until bowing out in 1996. She remained a mainstay on women's programs and made-for-TV thrillers, all the while leading a vigorous off-screen life as a vocal activist for the environment, animal welfare and gay rights. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie GuideDevastated upon receiving news that her estranged sister has been brutally murdered and frustrated that local police refuse to offer much help, a promising South Beach lawyer unearths some sordid details about her late sibling in this thriller highlighting the dangers of online dating. Stacy (Alexandra Paul) was accepting an award at a company banquet when her cell phone rang and her life was changed forever. Upon receiving the news that her sister Kate has been brutally strangled, Stacy beats a hasty retreat to her small hometown in hopes of getting some answers. The two siblings hadn't spoken since their parents died years ago, yet their sterile childhood home has remained virtually unchanged ever since that fateful day. When the local sheriff proves incapable or unwilling to offer any real answer, Stacy realizes that catching her sister's killer will be no simple task. As her investigation commences, resourceful Stacy discovers that Kate had a particularly suggestive profile on a tacky online dating site, and that her sister was scheduled to meet a number of men the night she was murdered. The deeper that Stacy delves into the profiles of the men her sister was involved with, the more convinced she becomes that she's closing in on the killer. Later, as Stacy's confidence leads to recklessness, she begins scheduling encounters with all of the men her sister was set to meet on the night of her death, in the process discovering that some are charismatic and sympathetic while others are utterly sleazy. As her investigation intensifies, Stacy begins to discover how little she really knew about the sister she recently lost. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Filmmaker Chris Payne explores the many factors that played into the ultimate failure of the electric car to catch on with consumers, even as gas prices began to skyrocket, in a thoughtful meditation on the increasingly important role that renewable energy plays in modern society. Introduced as a means of providing an alternative to increasing oil consumption and reducing pollution in 1996, the electric car was all but a forgotten memory only a decade later -- but why? Though interviews with consumer advocacy experts, automotive industry experts, and oil industry heavyweights, Payne paints a though-provoking picture of a culture whose aversion to change and reliance on dwindling resources may be rooted in the financial concerns of a wealthy few, and may also be leading consumers down a troubling path. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Perhaps his ex-wife Neely Capshaw (Gena Lee Nolin), or the still beautiful, incredibly pneumatic Casey Jean Parker (who else but Pamela Anderson)?
