A pampered teen convinces her wealthy father to renovate a dilapidated roller rink for her sweet 16 bash, only to have the party crashed by the serial killer who haunted their town ten years earlier. Madison Penrose (Julianna Guill) is pretty, popular, and partial to getting what she wants. With her 16th birthday fast approaching, Madison pleads with her father to stage the soirée at a run-down roller rink that was once home to notorious serial killer Charlie Rotter (Alex Van). It's been a decade since Charlie donned a mask and began systematically slaughtering the local teens, and his killing spree came to an abrupt end when his five-year-old daughter, Skye, caught him in the act and called the police. When the vehicle that was transporting Rotter to prison was decimated in a fiery crash, the locals thought they had seen the last of the psychotic, so-called the "Lord of the Rink." Today, 15-year-old Skye is a strong-willed misfit who has recently attracted the attention of Madison's hunky ex-boyfriend, Brigg, a star athlete at their high school and the object of every female student's affections. Jealous, Madison encourages her friends to humiliate the unassuming Skye, who plots revenge by crashing the well-publicized party with her geeky guy pal Derek. Later, at the party, all hell breaks loose when Rotter makes his presence known by using a severed head as a cake topper, and Madison must team with Skye, Derek, and Brigg to rid their town of the resilient maniac once and for all. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Actor-turned-filmmaker Seth Packard writes, produces, edits, directs, and stars in this geek-chic comedy concerning a cheerfully clueless teen named Ethan who channels his every ambition into an obsession with a beautiful brunette named Madison Sweet while fending off the advances of his over-affectionate cousin. From where Seth stands, it seems like his overbearing mother and older brother are hell bent on sabotaging his entire life. The only person who seems to understand him is Madison - not the real Madison, but the life-sized cutout of her that's affixed to his closet door. When the situation in Utah becomes unbearable, Seth heads out to California to spend the summer with his cousins. An already complicated situation spirals hopelessly out of control, however, when it becomes unmistakably apparent that Seth's cousin Cleo (Lauren McKnight) wants to be more than just family. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

A handful of kids stranded without their parents is determined to make the most of a bad situation in this comedy. It's Christmas Eve, and Oliver Porter (Lewis Black), the passenger relations manager at a busy airport in the Midwest, is looking forward to spending Christmas in Hawaii with his wife after 15 years in a row working on the busy Yuletide holiday. However, fate conspires against him when a massive snowstorm sweeps in and all flights are canceled. Porter suddenly has to deal with a number of stranded passengers, including six tween-age kids who are each flying unaccompanied from one divorced parent to another -- spoiled little rich girl Grace (Gina Mantegna), geeky but likable Spencer (Dyllan Christopher), his pesky little sister Katy (Dominique Saldana), plus-size comic book fan Beef (Brett Kelly), grumpy tomboy Donna (Quinn Shephard), and bright but mischievous Charlie (Tyler James Williams). With his hands full and determined to make his way to the islands, Porter puts his assistant Zach Van Bourke (Wilmer Valderrama) in charge of the kids. Zach doesn't care for this assignment and the kids don't care for him, and before long they've escaped from the basement conference room where he's stashed them and turned the airport into their playground. Unaccompanied Minors also features Paget Brewster, Rob Corddry and Teri Garr. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
