A small band of urban survivors fight to avoid being turned into zombie slaves when New York City is invaded my evil aliens. Laura Sommers was confiding in her psychiatrist that she'd been hearing disembodied voices when the sky suddenly went dark, and all hell broke loose. Awakening later to find the streets of the city eerily empty, Laura crosses paths with a rambling drifter named Neil who gives a terrifying account of the horrors that have just unfolded. Though it quickly becomes apparent to Laura that Neil is psychologically disturbed, he quickly ushers her to the safety of a nearby warehouse, where many others have gathered to avoid the alien space probes and zombie hordes. In time, the group discerns that the extraterrestrials have been using nanotechnology to enslave the human race, and that the only ones who remain unaffected are the mentally imbalanced. As the voices in Laura's head grow increasingly difficult to ignore, she and the rest of the survivors make one last, desperate attempt to destroy the device being used to control mankind, and send the aliens back into the stars. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Alien Uprising pays homage to the mother of all monster-in-outer-space sci-fi epics, Alien. Directed by Andre Bellware, the story opens with a group of marines sent to suppress a riot at a prison space-colony. When they get there, they find scenes of carnage caused not by rioting prisoners, but by a mutant creature that is still on board the ship -- and it's up to Lt. Louise Dunn (Rebecca Kush) to lead the marines and prison survivors to safety. ~ Sandra Bencic, Rovi

Ato Essandoh and Ted Raimi star in this deep-space sci-fi adventure about a malevolent race of aliens seeking to propagate their violent ways by sparking an intergalactic war. It's been eons since the dreaded Kluduthu race succeeded in starting the war that would help their race to thrive, and now the time has come to begin the vicious cycle once again. Though Kluduthu leader Harkness (Essandoh) gets things off to a promising start by propagating rumors that the Terrans have been attacking peaceful Andromedean citizens, in order to truly set his plan into motion he will need to transform a Bloodmask into a Kluduthu. The Bloodmasks are an ancient race of chameleon-like humanoids that could hold the key to universal peace, and when Harkness locates one lone Bloodmask named Aurora on the distant planet of Cassiopeia Prime, the plans for an intergalactic massacre slowly begin to form. Though Aurora remains blissfully unaware of her unique powers, she will soon learn just how important she is to the safety of the universe thanks to a little assistance from an eccentric scientist (Raimi) who possesses valuable knowledge about the history of her race. If Aurora can somehow manage to prevent the evil Harkness from using her as the ultimate biological weapon, there may still be hope that the power of peace can overcome the horror of war. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
