When the salvage tug Sea Star is caught unprepared in a violent storm, it slowly sinks, and the crew, led by Captain Everton (Donald Sutherland), wander upon another ship for refuge. The ship had taken on an energy-based alien life-form capable of constructing bodies out of human tissue as easily as electronic parts. The life-form wants to inhabit the planet earth but first must rid the world of the virus that infects it and could kill it -- man. A teenage boy comes of age at the hands of several older women while searching for his mother. Later the countess and her spouse return to England and Andre is sent to the home of Julia where he has his second experience. From there, he is captured by the fascists and only meets his mother after the war ends. An innocent prank involving a stolen atomic bomb turns three mischievous teens into national criminals. This being a zany comedy, all of the ensuing chases and plot twists are all in good fun. The whole fine mess begins when a trio of adolescent boys sneak off to their secret hideout to avoid their parents' wrath and find the big bomb just sitting there. Hearing opportunity's knock, they call the President and threaten to detonate the weapon if he does not immediately cancel school. Not only do they soon find themselves fleeing the FBI but also an idiotic pair of villains who want the A-bomb for themselves. The scene was L.A. and FBI rookie Jo Dee Fostar has been assigned to interview psycho inmate Dr. Animal Cannibal Pizza. Meanwhile Fostar's girlfriend swipes $400,000 bucks from her boss and ends up hiding in the Cemetery Hotel, run by Antonio Motel.
