Four lifelong friends enter into a race against their biological clocks while working to find the perfect mates and start families. Victoria (Tamala Jones), Zenobia (Nicole Ari Parker), Clevon (Kevin Hart), and Phil (Keith Robinson) are on the cusp of middle age, yet somehow they've managed to reap the rewards of adulthood. Though Victoria has come down with a bad case of baby fever, her husband resists the idea of fatherhood. Meanwhile, Zenobia is on the hunt for a man who wants to settle down and have kids, and nerdy Clevon just wants to find a girl who will accept him at face value. The only one who has succeeded in starting a family is Phil. Unfortunately motherhood is the last thing on his wife's list of priorities. Director Russ Parr explores the drama of comedy in this film concerning four friends seeking success in an industry where friendship is cheap and success seems to come to the least deserving. Four young people from different walks of life all share a common dream - to find success as a comic actor in a town where thousands of hopefuls constantly clamor for their moment in the spotlight. But while the seductive lure of Hollywood is all stars on the surface, the polluted truth that lies beneath dictates that only one in a million can find true success. Reggie Sinclair (Guy Torry), TD "Tru Dogg" Kinkaid (Darrin Henson), Dede Calvin (Tami Roman), and Bo Clark (Todd Williams) all realize that the odds are stacked against them, but they've made an oath to stand by one another no matter how bleak their prospects for stardom become. On a rooftop adjacent to one of the most popular comedy clubs in the city, this group of friends will gather to practice their material and find the kind of support that simply isn't available on the concrete below.
