A brilliant crossword-puzzle designer travels across the country in hopes of convincing a CNN cameraman that the pair is meant to be together, only to find her quest taking an unexpected turn in this romantic comedy starring Thomas Haden Church and Sandra Bullock. Deb Hagan directs this comedy set in the world of higher education and starring Drake Bell, Kevin Covais, and Andrew Caldwell as three high-school friends who take a weekend trip to nearby Fieldmont University as prospective college freshman in order to find out just how wild things can truly get on campus. Initially taken in as pledges at the most notorious fraternity on campus, Kevin, Morris, and Carter are subjected to humiliating series of pranks cooked up by womanizing frat president Teague (Nick Zano). Despite the fact that the three pals are forced to endure some of the most mortifying pranks ever committed against a fraternity pledge, in exchange for their suffering they are grated complete access to the rowdy party scene. Later emboldened after being mistaken for college freshmen by a trio of beautiful sorority girls, the three pals find any hopes for getting lucky dashed when -- upon realizing that the boys have finally managed to chat up some pretty girls -- Teague and his crew ramp up the intensity of their embarrassing initiation rituals and threaten to expose the boys' true educational status. Desperate to find protection by any means possible, Ryan, Wade, and Emmit place an ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine. While most of the responses they get come from men who are either too experienced or too expensive, one down-on-his-luck mercenary named Drillbit Taylor (Wilson) is right in their price range and eager to help out. Drillbit may be homeless (or, as he likes to call it, "home free"), but he's more than willing to offer these three brave souls the mental and physical training needed to fend off Filkins and get on with their lives. A kid discovers a unique way to stand up for himself and his friends in this family-friendly comedy-drama from director Savage Steve Holland. Nolan Byrd (Devon Werkheiser) is a bright fifth grader who has a knack for creating electronic gizmos and a fondness for remote-control model planes. Nolan is also skinny and shy, which makes him a constant target for thick-headed bully Bubba Bixby (Andrew Caldwell), the son of local sewage magnate Bob Bixby (Daniel Roebuck). Bubba makes life miserable for most of the students at Nolan's school, including Isabel (Francia Almendarez), the girl Nolan worships from afar, but no one is sure what to so about him. An assignment from his teacher Mr. Green (Tim Meadows) gives Nolan the idea to secretly videotape Bubba as he tortures his classmates and post the results online, where parents, teachers and others can see him in action. Needing an alter ego, Nolan creates the online identity "Shredderman," and soon "Shredderman"'s website is the talk of the school as he exposes Bubba's misdeeds to the world. However, "Shredderman" soon has bigger fish to fry when he uncovers evidence that Bob Bixby is planning a scam that will bilk the city for an expensive water processing plant they don't need.
