A married father and a swinging single swap bodies after a wild night of drinking, and do their best not to throw each other's lives into complete chaos while scrambling to figure out a way to get back in their own skin. Dave (Jason Bateman) and Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) grew up together. They used to be inseparable, but these days they're lucky if they cross paths every few months. Dave is a successful lawyer and happily married father of three; Mitch is a single sexual dynamo locked in a perpetual state of arrested adolescence. And while Mitch admires Dave for having a gorgeous wife (Leslie Mann), happy kids, and a high-paying job, Dave envies his unhitched pal's freewheeling lifestyle and his ability to bed any woman who shoots him a seductive glance. Then one night, after having a few too many, Mitch and Dave voice their mutual admiration for one another, never once suspecting they might be about to find out how the other half lives. However, upon waking up the following morning, the two lifelong pals discover that they have somehow traded places. At first the thought of getting a momentary reprieve from their regular routines is an amusing novelty, but the longer it lasts, the more they just want their old lives back. Just when it seems that things can't get any more complicated, Dave's stunning legal associate Sabrina (Olivia Wilde) drops a bombshell, and Mitch gets a surprise visit from his estranged father (Alan Arkin). ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Alex Orr's dark comedy Blood Car stars Mike Brune as Archie Andrews, a mild-mannered elementary teacher attempting to beat the high cost of gasoline (forty bucks a gallon) by creating a car that runs on something other than traditional petrol. He makes large purchases of wheatgrass from a young store clerk (Anna Chlumsky) who has a crush on the teacher. However, when he discovers that his new invention runs best on human blood, Archie suddenly becomes involved with a woman who does not share his or the store-clerks environmental beliefs. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

Actor-turned-director Matt Stanton takes the helm for this tale of an inner-city African-American youth who flees to the country after witnessing the murder of a close friend, and subsequently befriends a kindred spirit who helps him to overcome the lingering shadows of small-town racism. Demetrious is a Houston youth who has just seen his best friend gunned down in cold blood. Profoundly shaken by the senseless act of violence, the frightened teen jumps into the first cab he can find, and prepares to go as far away from the city as the cash in his pocket will take him. Dropped of in the outskirts of rural Trublin, Demetrious wanders into town to find that the tall tales of Southern hospitality don't necessarily extend to all races. As the sidelong glances of the closed-minded locals quickly dissolve into scowls, a man named Darring kindly takes the weary youth under his wing. Later, as Demetrious and Darring begin to forge a healing bond that helps one man to overcome his small town demons and the other to move beyond a trauma that has shaken him to the very core, the fragile balance of trust between the newfound friends will be challenged in ways that make them both view their roles in society from new and entirely unique perspectives. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Gary Cole stars in this delightfully improbable TV movie as Jerry Harden, a conservative husband, father, and bank loan officer. Harden's well-ordered existence is turned upside down when a scruffy-looking guitarist named Izzy (David Jensen) shows up at the bank, hoping to get a loan in order to re-organize the legendary KISS-like heavy metal band Rock Toxin. When Jerry sees Izzy, his heart sinks: It looks as though his "cover" will be blown, and that the whole world (including his children) will discover that, 20 years earlier, Jerry had been "Dagger", Rock Toxin's lead singer! At first turning down Izzy's loan request, Jerry is forced to reconsider when he finds that he hasn't enough money to send his 17-year-old daughter to college. Thus, Jerry not only bankrolls the revived Rock Toxin, but he also embarks upon a hectic double life: Nerdish pillar of society by day, heavily-made-up rock singer by night. Further complicating matters is the fact that Jerry's wife Allison (Sherilyn Fenn), is the campaign manager for Helen Hunter (Shannon Eubanks), the politician wife of Jerry's boss Carl (Joe Inscoe)--and the cornerstone of Helen's campaign is her crusade against heavy-metal music! Pop Rocks debuted over the ABC Family Channel on September 10, 2004. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
