This gay-oriented drama centers on the life and exploits of Andrew, an aspiring painter. Still living at home with his mother Genna, an avant garde actress, constantly rejected by art schools, and without a lover, Andrew decides to enter a contest in hopes of winning a six month stay in Kenya. Though things aren't great for Andrew, neither are they wonderful for his lesbian friend Lucy who constantly bickers with her lover Ingrid. This environmentally conscious comedy, set in New York City, comments on a variety of social and ecological problems. Shareen Lightfoot and Claire Mayakovsky are lovers living in New York. There they try to cope with all the filth, noise pollution, and chaos. Shareen owns a garbage-clearing business, while Claire works in a sushi bar, Naga Saki, in Manhattan. When not working, the two try to educate their daughter. The lovers are appalled when they discover that the ubiquitous GX Corporation, which floods the airwaves with it's motto: "We Care," is selling deadly cat food. African-American mime artist Charles Lane directed and starred in this ultra-low-budget film. Lane plays a Chaplinesque homeless individual with a talent for sidewalk chalk art, who finds himself caring for an abandoned baby. The child's father has been killed in a robbery, so Lane begins a long, lonely search for the kid's next of kin.
