Hack was essentially The Equalizer as Cab Driver. The protagonist was divorced, disgraced ex-Philadelphia cop Mike Olshansky (David Morse). At the end of his financial rope, Mike found steady employment as a cabbie, though he was never completely successful in suppressing his strong sense of justice. Thus, he frequently became involved in the problems of his passengers, usually rounding up and clobbering bad guys in vigilante fashion. Though the series never overlapped into Travis Bickle territory, it did tend to resemble a Western with a ticking meter. Adam (George Hertzberg) now controls Riley (Marc Blucas) via a chip implanted in his arm by Dr. Walsh (Lindsay Crouse). His plan to create an army of half human/half demon is finally revealed along with new recruits Forrest (Leonard Roberts) and Dr. Walsh. Meanwhile, Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) meets up with Giles (Anthony Head), Willow (Alyson Hannigan), and Xander (Nicholas Brendon). After comparing notes, the group realizes they've been tricked by Spike (James Marsters) into being angry with each other. They also piece together Adam's evil plan and break into the Initiative compound to put it to an end. They are captured by Initiative commandos and at the same time Adam releases the demons and chaos ensues. Needless to say, Spike's chip stays implanted. During the final battle sequence, Willow, Xander, and Giles magically imbue Buffy with heightened supernatural powers that seem correlate to each character's best personality trait. ~ All Movie Guide

Oz (Seth Green) returns. Having traveled widely -- he mentions Tibet -- Oz has discovered how to control his werewolf transformations. Willow's (Alyson Hannigan) joy over his return is compromised now that she loves Tara (Amber Benson). Seeking advice, Willow reveals the true nature of her relationship with Tara to Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) -- up until now she has kept her homosexuality as secret. Meanwhile, a commando is attacked by what he assumes to be a werewolf. Oz is subsequently captured by the Initiative. Surprisingly, Spike (James Marsters) leads Buffy into the Initiative compound to free Oz. More surprisingly, Riley (Marc Blucas) helps liberate Oz, subsequently severing his ties to the Initiative. Now, with her boyfriend AWOL from the Initiative, Buffy feels free to reveal her past relationship with Angel (David Boreanaz). Elsewhere, Adam (George Hertzberg) offers to remove Spike's anti-violence chip if he assists in his plan to unleash worldwide chaos. ~ All Movie Guide

In this Emmy-winning concluding episode of a two-part story, Ross (George Clooney) suffers the consequences for his part in the death of ALD patient Ricky Abbott. Also detrimentally affected are Carol (Julianna Margulies) , who assisted Ross in treating Ricky, and his superiors Greene (Anthony Edwards) and Weaver (Laura Innes). Weighed down by controversy and not wishing to cause any more trouble for his colleagues, Ross bids farewell to County General. In this supernatural thriller, Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) is a fairly typical working-class guy living in Chicago with his wife Maggie (Kathryn Erbe) and his son Jake (Zachary David Cope). One night at a party, Tom gets into a lively discussion with his sister-in-law, Lisa (Illeana Douglas), who believes in psychic communication and the power of hypnosis. He challenges Lisa to hypnotize him, and she plants in him a post-hypnotic suggestion to be more open-minded. But the results aren't quite what Lisa or Tom expected; Tom now senses an air of terrible dread throughout his house and is convinced that evil lurks just around the corner. He also sees the spirit of a girl from the neighborhood who disappeared months ago -- and Jake sees the spirit as well. Stir of Echoes was based on a novel by Richard Matheson, whose work inspired such disparate films as Somewhere in Time and The Incredible Shrinking Man; it was written and directed by David Koepp, who wrote the screenplays for Jurassic Park and Mission: Impossible. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Suburban housewife Barbara Eden is the prime suspect when her husband is murdered. Shortly afterward, Eden's best friend turns up dead-and this time she's arrested. Now someone is trying to bump off Eden's daughter. It's all the handiwork of an old college rival, who believes that Eden stole her boyfriend. The homicidally inclined woman scorned is played by none other than Loretta Swit, cast spectacularly against type.
