On the verge of graduating drama school, Mike (Kirk Cameron) is required to direct a stage scene. After a considerable struggle, Mike beats out the other students in securing the services of Courtney Preston (Holly Fields), one of the school's most experienced actresses. Although Courtney turns out to be pretty terrible in the scene, the rest of the cast applauds the girl's "brilliance".
