A quintessentially British actor (with a classic "medieval" look) who made his name with deft portrayals of heroes in fantasy and adventure sagas, Ben Barnes graduated from the King's College School in England and landed one of his earliest assignments in a hybrid of the two said genres -- with a small supporting role playing Young Dunstan in Matthew Vaughn's offbeat Stardust (2007). Barnes then commenced a sequence of film appearances as Prince Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia franchise, adapted from the popular novels by C.S. Two aimless but good-natured Moscow youths attempt to avoid military service by traveling to London, only to find that life in the United Kingdom capitol isn't so easy when you're a flat-broke illegal immigrant. Cobakka (Ben Barnes) and Spiker (Andrei Chadov) are confident that they will find success in the shadow of Big Ben, so they leave their hometown of Moscow behind in order to pursue their dreams of success in a foreign land. But while Cobakka and Spiker may not be born criminals, they aren't above pulling off a scam or two in order to make a buck. Upon arriving in London, this pair of likeable rogues repeatedly finds that in a dog-eat-dog world, they are usually the ones served up on a silver platter. A charmingly naïve boy from the English village of Wall travels to a magical, mythical world in search of the falling star that will help him win the heart of his true love in this fantasy adventure starring Charlie Cox, Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ricky Gervais, and Sienna Miller. But the king's sons aren't the only ones in search of the luminous Yvaine; fearsome witch Lamia (Pfeiffer) has become convinced that the young girl's power can help her to achieve eternal youth and beauty. As Tristan makes his way through Stormhold on a mission to bring the star back to Wall, he will encounter a series of spectacular characters and creatures that will lead him to a fate he never imagined.
