A divorced, alcoholic salesman attempts to pull his life together in time to get his old job back and avoid becoming the laughing stock of the company in this midlife crisis comedy starring Michael Leydon Campbell, Rachael Leigh Cook, and Amy Ryan. As if a failing marriage and a serious bout with the bottle aren't troublesome enough, socially challenged salesman Bob Funk (Leydon Campbell) realizes that his life has really hit the skids when he's fired by his own mother (Grace Zabriskie). Now, in order to rejoin the sales force, Bob will have to take stock of his life and meet his problems head on. When Bob finds himself falling for the very woman his mother has hired in as his replacement, however, the road to recovery starts to get a little bumpy. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Jackass Number Two contributor Sam Maccarone takes the helm for this no-rules comedy about a documentary film crew and their oddball subject, a cave-dwelling, beer-chugging human oddity rumored to have the most remarkable luck of any man who ever lived. Lucky "Cucumber" Cavanaugh (Dian Bachar) earned his unusual nickname due to the fact that, as a newborn, he bore a striking resemblance to the green garden vegetable. Have these filmmakers finally discovered their key to fortune and fame, or does Lucky's impossible good fortune stop at his own skin? As Philip (Maccarone), Forrest (Preston Lacy), and Lucky do battle against mental patients, sex-offenders, and gun-toting drug addicts, the only way to find out for sure is to soak in the mayhem and brace for impact. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In his 1961 speech to the National Association of Broadcasters Newton Minnow claimed that television had become a "vast wasteland," and with this comedy the warped folks at National Lampoon prove that Minnow's so-called "vast wasteland" has since been flooded by a festering cesspool of filth and depravity. Absolutely nothing is sacred as Jackass stars Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, and Jason "Wee Man" Acuna skewer small screen conventions by targeting everything from reality television to talk shows. For viewers looking to find out just how far the bar has been lowered, who better to turn to than the satirical minds at National Lampoon? ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

- Steve-O, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, (more)
