Bradley Brinkman (Steve Levitt) is a computer nerd who makes a deal with the Devil (James Coco) in this teen comedy. He is transformed into Hunk Golden (John Allen Nelson), the muscular blonde-haired, blue-eyed California heartthrob. She-devil O'Brien (Deborah Shelton) threatens to change the popular Hunk back into the anemic Bradley if he refuses to serve the Devil on Earth. Rebecca Bush plays psychologist Sunny Graves and co-stars with Robert Morse, Constantine Constapopolis, and Avery Schreiber. James Coco, who died a few weeks before the debut of this film, gives memorable comic portrayals of a pirate, a Nazi, and a caveman in addition to a delightful devil. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

This low-budget cult classic horror spoof has one of the great movie titles of all time. Mike (Grant Cramer) and his sweetheart, Debbie (Suzanne Snyder), are smooching on lover's lane when they see what appears to be a meteorite crashing over the horizon. They loosen their liplock long enough to investigate and find a curious circus tent. There they discover malevolent clowns who stop their victims with popcorn-shooting guns and acid-drenched pies in order to feast on human blood. The unfortunates are then entombed into inescapable cotton-candy cocoons. Officer Dave Hanson (John Allen Nelson) is called to investigate with help from Officer Mooney (John Vernon). Premiering on NBC in 1989 and continuing for five seasons, Quantum Leap gained a cult following for its ability to balance the qualities of science fiction with the hour-long television drama format. Each episode features a different adventure as Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) leaps through time, into different bodies, hoping to someday leap home. Along the way, Sam rights wrongs of the past with help from his hologram companion, Al (Dean Stockwell). In Quantum Leap: Pilot - 1956 viewers are able to see where it all began. Despite the fact that it isn't ready to be tested, Sam chooses to try out the accelerator and leaps into the body of a test pilot with little of his memory intact. After saving the pilot's family, Sam leaps, but rather than leaping back into the accelerator, he finds himself inhabiting the body of a minor league baseball player in 1968 with the task of winning the last game of the season. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

Air Force One has suffered an indirect hit and goes down "hard and fast" over the Nevada desert. While CTU is trying to determine whether or not President Keeler survived, Mike Novick (Jude Ciccolella, last seen in season two) advises Vice President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin) to prepare to be sworn in as president. Keeler is found alive, but badly wounded. Buchanan (James Morrison), sensing hostility from Tony (Carlos Bernard), tells Tony that, much to his chagrin, his relationship with Michelle (Reiko Aylesworth) has always remained professional. Audrey (Kim Raver) explains that the "nuclear football" went down with the plane, and that Heller wants Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) to retrieve it. They also discuss Paul's unstable medical condition. While Jack flies out to the desert, a young couple on a camping trip, Jason (T.J. Thyne, the infamous Todd from Ghost World) and Kelly (Claudette Mink), find the football, and contact the police, who put them in touch with Jack. Jack tells them to wait for him to arrive, but when Jason notices headlights approaching in the distance, Jack realizes that someone else has the transponder frequency for the football, and has Jason and Kelly disable the transponder and escape to a location where he'll connect with them. Unfortunately, Marwan (Arnold Vosloo) gets there first, putting the couple in grave danger, and the country's entire nuclear arsenal at risk. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

Debuting August 21, 2006, the hour-long Fox network series Vanished was a serialized drama in the tradition of 24 and Prison Break, this time with a bit of the "procedural" genre (à la Without a Trace) thrown in. Things got under way when Sara Collins (Joanne Kelly), the wife of prominent Georgia senator Jeffrey Collins (John Allen Nelson), abruptly disappeared during a fundraising dinner, the apparent victim of a kidnapping. Assigned to locate -- and, possibly rescue -- Mrs. Collins were FBI agents Graham Kelton (Gale Harold) and Lin Mei (Ming-Na). While Lin approached her job with a cynical sense of humor and an abundance of energy, Kelton was morose and taciturn, still blaming himself for the horrible death of a youthful kidnap victim which occurred right before his eyes. As the plot thickened, it became obvious that the two agents had more than a common, everyday abduction on their hands: the number-one suspect was killed off at the very start of the series; the trail was strewn with bizarre, contradictory clues and DaVinci Code-like cryptic messages; and finally, not only had Sara Collins mysteriously vanished on previous occasions, there was every indication that she wasn't really Sara Collins at all. Clearly, the missing Mrs. Collins was but a cog in the wheel of a larger conspiracy, in which (naturally) no one could be completely trusted. Other characters included Rebecca Gayheart as an unusually ubiquitous investigative reporter and Eddie Cibrian as Kelton and Mei's enigmatic FBI superior.
