Louis Nye guest stars as Zombo, a popular TV horror-movie host. Herman is miffed that his son Eddie idolizes Zombo, ignoring Herman in the process. Inevitably, Eddie learns the time-honored sitcom lesson that appearances are deceiving. Now travelling under the name "Pete Allen", Kimble befriends Willie Turner (Denny Miller), a mentally challenged youth who is also on the lam from the law. To protect Willie, Kimble gets the boy a job as a carnival roustabout, but his generosity may result in his own arrest. Ultimately, the only person who can save both Kimble and Willie is Willie's sister Mary (Collin Wilcox)--if she chooses to do so. Using the alias "Richard Spaulding", fugitive Richard Kimble (David Janssen) pays a visit to his former mentor Dr. Andrew McAllister (Laurence Naismith), now gravely ill and confined to a wheelchair. Because of his virulent "anti-smog" campaign, McAllister is regarded by most people as a harmless crank. The truth, however, is that the doctor has become mentally unhinged, and he intends to lob a spectacular final "protest" against a local smoke-belching factory by destroying it with a bomb--with Kimble unwittingly delivering the explosives. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In his second Fugitive guest appearance, Jack Klugman is cast as Gus Hendrick, owner of a trucking firm where Kimble (David Janssen)--alias "Bill Douglas"--is currently employed. Though heavily in debt, Gus continues to support his late partner's family, feeling guilty for the man's death.
