This 2009 Metropolitan Opera production of Vincenzo Bellini's 1831 opera La Sonnambula emerged from the efforts of producer Mary Zimmerman, Louisa Briccetti and Victoria Warivonchik, and showcases the set designs of Daniel Ostling, the costumes of Mara Blumenfeld , and the choreography of Daniel Pelzig. It stars Natalie Dessay as Amina, Juan Diego Flórez as Elvino, Michele Pertusi as Count Rodolfo, and Jennifer Black as Lisa. Barbara Willis Sweete directs for the stage, while The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Chorus and Ballet provide musical accompaniment with Evelino Pidò conducting and Donald Palumbo serving as chorus master. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
