The long-running Namco video game series makes the leap to the big screen with this tale of a young warrior who enters a highly exclusive fight tournament in order to avenge his mother's death. The year is 2039: the World Wars have left the Earth a desolate graveyard. From the ashes of governments have risen powerful corporations, and the most formidable of them all is Tekken. Presided over by a ruling elite whose sole purpose is to lull the masses into submission, Tekken stages a massive sporting event called the Fist Tournament, in which post-apocalyptic gladiators fight to the death for wealth and celebrity. The most popular fashion dolls in America make the leap to the big screen in this live-action adventure that follows four diverse teenage girls who make the jump from middle school to high school, only to find that their four-part friendship doesn't fit into the rigid clique system at their new institution.
