Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) are placed in an awkward position when they agree to attend three different Thanksgiving dinners -- and things get even more awkward when they also agree to show up at Emily and Richard's house. The only way out of this social dilemma is to actually consume four dinners within a 24-hour period, beginning with the deep-fried repast at the Kim household. Then it is off to the home of Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) and Jackson (Jackson Douglas), thence to Luke's diner. Finally the ladies arrive at the Elder Gilmores' house -- where Lorelai has a hissy fit upon discovering that Rory has applied to Yale. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Intent upon learning how to ride a two-wheel bike, Michelle (played by the Olsen twins) takes a nasty fall--and places the blame on Joey (David Coulier), who was trying to teach her. Meanwhile, Jesse (John Stamos) and Becky (Lisa Loughlin) go on their first outing with the twins, a momentous journey which bids fair to rival Homer's "Odyssey". And Danny (Bob Saget) is having a LOT of trouble maintaining a strictly-business relationship with his temporary TV partner Vicky (Gail Edwards). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
While attending a charity event with her family, DJ (Candace Cameron) meets her very first boyfriend, a 6th grader named Michael Montfort (Jonathan Brandis). Alas, the boy is merely using her to meet another girl, and before long our 13-year-old heroine is nursing a broken heart. Fortunately, DJ can count on her family to rally together and cheer her up in an amusingly unorthodox fashion (and this despite a time-consuming subplot involving a "bachelor auction.") ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Reunited with her seafaring brother Bobby (Ed Begley Jr.) after many years, Shirley (Cindy Williams) is struck by the fact that she and Bobby do not resemble one another in the least. Can it be that Shirley is not a "natural" offspring of the Feeney family, but was instead adopted? To find out, our heroine cooks up an elaborate ruse--which of course relies upon the utter stupidity of everyone around her in order to succeed! Rance Howard, the father of future director Ron Howard, appears as a doctor. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
