Pro baseball pitcher Hank Wiggen (Scott Foley) insists he is not a drug user, but the evidence indicates otherwise: His bones are brittle to the point of disintegration, and his kidneys have started to fail. Astonishingly, the clinic's lab test indicate that Wiggen is not currently on steroids, nor is he suffering from cancer as the symptoms might also suggest. House (Hugh Laurie) must figure out what's really wrong with Wiggen before the ballplayer's girlfriend Lola (Meredith Monroe) aborts her pregnancy in order to donate her kidneys. And in another development, Foreman (Omar Epps) is secretly dating a sexy drug representative (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), while Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) is seeing one of House's former lovers. The fifth season of Gilmore Girls begins with Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) still angry over the affair between her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Rory's married ex-boyfriend Dean (Jared Padalecki). Lorelai has another cross to bear in the form of her parents Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop), who have separated and are well on their way to divorce. And if this wasn't enough for Lorelai to worry about, there's the matter of her relationship with her very close friend Luke (Scott Patterson), who has divested himself of his troublesome wife and is hoping to win over Lorelai -- or at least he thinks that is what he wants. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) are placed in an awkward position when they agree to attend three different Thanksgiving dinners -- and things get even more awkward when they also agree to show up at Emily and Richard's house. The only way out of this social dilemma is to actually consume four dinners within a 24-hour period, beginning with the deep-fried repast at the Kim household. Then it is off to the home of Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) and Jackson (Jackson Douglas), thence to Luke's diner.
