Miley Cyrus Movies
The daughter of country-music superstar
Billy Ray Cyrus,
Miley Cyrus got her start in the entertainment industry on an episode of her father's PAX TV medical series
Doc before appearing in
Tim Burton's fantastical 2003 adventure
Big Fish. A fateful appearance as the character Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody followed in 2006, and her character proved so popular that a spin-off series called
Hannah Montana was launched shortly thereafter. In the series,
Cyrus portrayed a fun-loving California teen who just happens to be moonlighting as a world-famous pop star. Only Hannah's family (which includes her real-life father on the series) and her two closest friends, Lilly (
Emily Osment) and Oliver (
Mitchel Musso), know the truth about Hannah's remarkable secret life. The series would spawn a big picture adaptation in 2009, as well as a concert movie in 2010, but Cyrus also took on other acting roles, like the part of a rebellious delinquent in 2010's The Last Song, and a tech-savvy teenager in 2012's LOL. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Hannah Montana: The Movie opens with Hannah's ($Miley Cyrus) hectic lifestyle wrecking the important relationships in her life. Because she gets into a catfight over shoes with Tyra Banks, she forgets to say goodbye when her brother leaves for college, and she's late for her best friend's sweet sixteen because she's being chased by the paparazzi. Anxious to get Miley back to her roots, her manager/father (Billy Ray Cyrus), whisks her away to their hometown in Tennessee, where he hopes grandma and the locals will help the selfish star reconnect to some simple family values. Since Miley wants to be Hannah most of the time, she hates being stuck in the backwoods town, but a cute young ranch hand -- and her grandmother's love -- eventually melts her heart. And, when the town needs to raise cash to stop a developer from soiling their perfect little community with a big, evil mall, what celebrity performer do you think might just show up to save the day? ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

When he's accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City, he must rely on the help from his two newfound friends -- an abandoned house cat named Mittens (voiced by Susie Essman) and a television-addicted hamster named Rhino (voice of Mark Walton) -- as he embarks on a cross-country quest to get back to his owner (and co-star), Penny (voice of Miley Cyrus). ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

Tim Burton directs the fantasy drama Big Fish, based on the book Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions by Southern writer/illustrator Daniel Wallace. Billy Crudup plays William Bloom, a young man who never really knew his dying father, Edward (Albert Finney) outside of the tall tales he told about growing up, making his way, and meeting his mother (played as a young woman by Alison Lohman and in older age by Jessica Lange). During Edward's last days, William and his wife Josephine (Marion Cotillard) hold bedside vigil as the old man recollects elaborate memories of his youth (in which he is played by Ewan McGregor). Still doubting the the legends and folklore, William makes a journey to meet a mysterious woman (Helena Bonham Carter) from whom Edward had bought property. Steve Buscemi and Danny De Vito also star. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, Rovi
