A lifelong actor who was just seven years old when he portrayed a diminutive Chewbacca in a children's remake of Star Wars, Rockwall, TX native Mitchel Musso appeared in print campaigns for McDonalds and Rand McNally before appearing in television commercials for Sony PlayStation and Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum. Of course, the ambitious youngster had more in mind than simply being a pitchman for a product, and in 2003 Musso would make his big-screen debut opposite both younger brother Marc and child superstar Haley Joel Osment in the coming-of-age comedy Secondhand Lions. Television roles in Oliver Beene and Stacked were quick to follow, though it was the 2006 hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana that truly found the talented youngster's career blasting into overdrive on the small screen. Cast opposite Miley Cyrus, Jason Earles, and Emily Osment, Musso played the best friend of a talented young singer who leads a secret double life as a teen-pop superstar. Back on the big screen, Musso provided the voice of a suburban adolescent who suspects that his neighbor's house may hold a dark secret in the computer-animated hit Monster House. Hannah Montana: The Movie opens with Hannah's ($Miley Cyrus) hectic lifestyle wrecking the important relationships in her life. Because she gets into a catfight over shoes with Tyra Banks, she forgets to say goodbye when her brother leaves for college, and she's late for her best friend's sweet sixteen because she's being chased by the paparazzi. Anxious to get Miley back to her roots, her manager/father (Billy Ray Cyrus), whisks her away to their hometown in Tennessee, where he hopes grandma and the locals will help the selfish star reconnect to some simple family values. Since Miley wants to be Hannah most of the time, she hates being stuck in the backwoods town, but a cute young ranch hand -- and her grandmother's love -- eventually melts her heart. A teenage zero becomes a high school hero after secretly becoming the school mascot at the behest of his best friend. Unable to carry on the family tradition of being the Hondo High School mascot due to the fact that he's allergic to the costume, teenager Cleatus Poole (Mitchel Musso) quietly recruits his best friend Pete (Jason Dolley) for the job. Reluctantly agreeing with the strict understanding that their pact will remain a secret, Pete dons the Chicken costume and goes to work. At first, painfully shy Pete isn't sure he's up to the task, but before long he's got the whole school cheering. The anonymity of the Chicken suit allows Pete to let go of his insecurities and embrace a newfound freedom, and as a result, a whole new personality begins to emerge. Trouble is, back in the classroom no one even knows his name.
