Maggie (Joanna Kerns) is a bit surprised when her dad Ed (Gordon Jump) shows up on the spur of the moment. Alas, the reason for Ed's visit is that he has some bad news for the family: the doctor has given him only a short time to live. Hoping to make the best of what time they have left, Ed and Maggie decide to go off together on a fishing trip--but tragically, things don't go according to schedule. This very special episode features a poignant flashback sequence, with Alexis Greig and Larry Marks respectively cast as the younger versions of Maggie and Ed. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Prison chicks provide the basis for this exploitation film. The tale centers on two young women, one a naive, star-struck midwestern girl, and the other a savvy hitcher, who head for Tinseltown in search of stardom only to find themselves appearing in a soft-core porno flick. Unfortunately they end up arrested and thrown in prison where they are abused by the ubiquitous overbearing chief lesbian guard who forces inmates to become sexual slaves for the millionaires who frequent the penitentiary. Meanwhile, the naive girl's sister refuses to believe the claim that her sister is in Mexico shooting a film, and goes to LA to investigate the situation herself. When she finds out what has been happening, she enlists the aid of a biker and detectives to help her stop the insanity of it all. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

In Hardcase and Fist, it all begins when undercover cop Bud McCall (Ted Prior) has himself incarcerated in Folsom Prison. McCall's mission is to prevent an imprisoned mob flunkey from providing a false alibi for syndicate boss Vincent (Vince Barbi). Meanwhile, Vincent has arranged for one of his henchmen, Tony Marino (Tony Zarindast, who also directed the film) to be locked up in Folsom for the purpose of bumping off McCall. As it turns out, Marino is an old army buddy of McCall's and can't bring himself to do Vincent's bidding. Will movies like this ever stop being made? Like its dozens of predecessors, Lauderdale is worth watching only when the requisite bikini babes flounce past the camera. Darrel Guilbeau and Jeff Greenman are among the thousands of lascivious collegiates who descend upon Fort Lauderdale during Spring Break. Michelle Kemp is one of the many objects of Our Heroes' close scrutiny. At least no one gets killed in Lauderdale; in this respect, art improves upon life. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
- Starring:
- Darrel Guilbeau, Michelle Kemp, (more)
Low-budget filmmaker Mark Pirro (A Polish Vampire in Burbank) directed this satirical comedy which heavily echoes The Running Man. Unctuous emcee Chuck (John McCafferty) hosts a television gameshow called Live or Die, in which convicted felons compete for the right to escape execution. As in most of Pirro's films, bathroom humor outweighs the occasionally clever parodies of popular culture. Debra Lamb and Conrad Brooks co-star. The director made Curse of the Queerwolf the same year. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi
- Starring:
- John McCafferty, Robyn Blythe, (more)
