Jack Huston grew up in the lap of show business, as the scion of the legendary Huston directing and acting dynasty -- the grandson of maverick American director John Huston and New York actress-model Ricki Soma, the son of Tony Huston, and the nephew of actress Anjelica Huston and actor-director Danny Huston. He thus seemed predestined for a career in showbiz, especially given his dashing good looks. Though largely of American stock, Huston grew up and came of age in England and quickly acquired a English accent; as a result, the press typically classified him as British, and he often referred to the U.K. with great fondness as "home." He first stepped in front of the camera in his mid-twenties, scoring his breakthrough with a turn as poet-photographer-filmmaker Gerard Malanga in the 2005 Edie Sedgwick biopic Factory Girl, followed that up with a prominent role in director Paddy Breathnach's trippy gorefest Shrooms (2007), and signed for a role as Prince Wulfric, a Viking who takes on a group of invading extraterrestrials, in the sci-fi actioner Outlander (2008). ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide

Five American college students experience a particularly bad trip while vacationing in Ireland and partaking of the local hallucinogenic fungi in director Paddy Breathnach's tripped-out tale of sex, drugs, and slashers. Upon arriving in Ireland to go camping with their old college buddy Jake, Americans Tara, Troy, Holly, Bluto, and Lisa and their host eagerly set out into the wilderness in search of some magic mushrooms. As the trip starts to take hold and the group gathers around the campfire, Tara begins to wonder if she took too strong of a dose after Bluto goes missing, and she feels as if she's somehow witnessed his death. When other members of the group go missing as well, it begins to appear that someone is stalking the group and taking murderous advantage of their altered state. Could it be that this is just a simple case of hallucinogenic panic, or is there an element of truth to Jake's troubling stories of mutilated bodies and unsolved murders in the Irish countryside? The true story of one woman's brief and ultimately tragic flirtation with fame in the 1960s provides the basis for this biographical drama. In 1943, Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) was born to a wealthy and socially prominent family, and she grew up with beauty and money, but also a history of mental illness; she was hospitalized with an eating disorder in her late teens, and by the time she was 21, two of her seven siblings had died before their time. In 1964, Edie moved to New York City, and quickly made a splash on the Manhattan social scene; she became friendly with the famous pop artist Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce), who was fascinated by her gamine loveliness and her quirky personality. Warhol wasted no time in casting her in one of his underground movies, and she quickly became a crucial part of his retinue of "superstars." Fashion icon Diana Vreeland (Illeana Douglas) was convinced Edie had the looks and charm to also become a successful model, and soon she was gracing the pages of Life, Vogue, and Glamour. But Edie's instability was hardly helped by her new fast-lane lifestyle, and when she met Billy Quinn (Hayden Christensen), a folk rock singer-songwriter often cited as "the voice of a generation," he persuaded her that Warhol and his associates were simply using her fame and beauty for their own gain, and she found herself torn between two powerful mentors, one of whom had become her lover as well. Factory Girl also co-stars Jimmy Fallon, Mena Suvari, and Tara Summers as regulars at the Warhol "Factory."
