Derek's sister Nancy (Embeth Davidtz) pays a visit for the express purpose of giving him Hell about the "slutty" Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), all the while blissfully ignorant of Addison's infidelity. Cristina (Sandra Oh) inspires envy when she helps perform a rare cardiac autotransplantation (aka the Humpty Dumpty procedure), but her actions just before surgery serve only to arouse suspicions about Burke (Isaiah Washington). Addison (Kate Walsh) and George's (T.R. Knight) pregnant patient Noelle (Liza Lapira) is in a strange predicament: she has two uteruses, and one of her babies is growing faster than the other, indicating that she's been unfaithful to at least one of the fathers. Four years after ending her successful, star-making run on the series Dharma and Greg, Jenna Elfman returned to television with the heavily hyped situation comedy Courting Alex. Elfman starred as Alex Rose, a high-powered attorney working at a firm run by her father (Dabney Coleman). While Alex is a formidable opponent in the courtroom, her dedication to her career hasn't left her much time for a love life. Things begin to change when Alex meets Scott Larson (Josh Randall), but as it happens Scott is also a lawyer, and the would-be couple often find themselves representing rival point of view. Courting Alex also featured Jillian Bach as Alex's diminutive assistant Molly and Hugh Bonneville as her high-spirited neighbor Julian. Courting Alex's premiere on January 23, 2006 was extensively promoted by its network, CBS, but the show fared poorly in the ratings, and of the twelve episodes produced, only eight were ever aired. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Elsewhere, Luke (Scott Patterson) is put out when Lorelai (Lauren Graham) does not invite him to Miss Patty's annual dance recital; Paris (Liza Weil) is overwhelmed by her first real job; and Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) and Jackson (Jackson Douglas) get into a fight over baby Davey's TV privileges. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
