Disturbed Cornelius Rawlings returns to his isolated family home after 18 years to find that his parents are long dead, but his two estranged brothers are still very much alive -- and that their athletic past is about to catch up with them. When Cornelius arrives home, his brother Ezra is cleaning the house and praising the Lord. His other brother, Amos, is hailing Satan and making art. Meanwhile, Cornelius can usually be found at the bottom of a bottle. Later, when a plumber and a beautiful girl show up at their door, the three eccentric siblings fly off the rails. Now the only person who can save them from certain self-destruction is an eccentric stranger with an unknown purpose. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Directed by Michael Tully, the low-key, occasionally darkly humorous drama Cocaine Angel stars Damian Lahey as Scott, a man dealing with a severe cocaine addiction. The minimally plotted film features plainly documented events in his desultory day-to-day existence including losing his job, attempting to visit with his daughter, and always looking to score more of the white powder that controls his life. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

In Aaron Katz's idiosyncratic and unpredictable drama Quiet City, Georgian Jamie travels from her Atlanta home to Brooklyn, to visit her friend Samantha. When Jamie arrives, however, Samantha seems to have disappeared from her residence - her phone is disconnected and she cannot be located. By sheer happenstance, Jamie runs into a stranger, Charlie, when she stops him to ask for directions. The two strike up an instant rapport and spend the rest of the day and night together - eating coleslaw, attending art exhibitions and experiencing Manhattan nightlife. The picture thus becomes an exploration of how relationships can spring from chance meetings between strangers, amid the most unfamiliar of circumstances and environments. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
