Michael Arndt Movies
Onetime assistant to
Matthew Broderick,
Michael Arndt achieved the ultimate dream for a screenwriter: his first script to be picked up went on to win an Academy Award. When the 2006 film
Little Miss Sunshine hit theaters, it went from a sleeper hit to a critical smash, invading the Oscars with nods for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, a Best Supporting Actor nomination for
Alan Arkin, and Best Supporting Actress for ten-year-old
Abigail Breslin.
Arkin joined
Arndt in taking home a statue that night, and soon the screenwriter was back to work, helping pen the script for
Toy Story 3. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
