Sex, money and golf are the key ingredients of this raunchy comedy. Things look bleak for the Pennytree Golf Club, a golf course that was once one of the finest facilities in the country but has since fallen into disrepair. The owners of the nearby Bentwood Country Club have done everything they can to outclass Pennytree, and have taken away most of their business. Now, Bentwood owner Simon Roosevelt (Dan Barkley) is trying to put Pennytree out of business once and for all so he can buy up the land cheap and build a condominium project. But Josh Pennytree and his beautiful daughter Liberty (Christy Tummond) aren't giving up without a fight. Liberty scours the area's night clubs and strip joints for the best looking women in town and hires a new staff at Pennytree who may not know golf, but know what a lot of golfers like to look at. However, Roosevelt and his cohorts refuse to play fair, leading to a winner-take-all gold match between the pros from the two clubs. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Amy Lynn Baxter stars in the innocuous romantic comedy Affairs of the Heart. She plays an advice-to-the-lovelorn columnist, always ready with a sage observation for her readers. Alas, she's at a loss for words when she herself falls for Michael Montana. Naturally (at least, naturally in films of this nature), Amy goes to pieces when she's not thoroughly in control of the situation. Will movies like this ever stop being made? Like its dozens of predecessors, Lauderdale is worth watching only when the requisite bikini babes flounce past the camera. Darrel Guilbeau and Jeff Greenman are among the thousands of lascivious collegiates who descend upon Fort Lauderdale during Spring Break.
