HBO produces this gritty and emotional series based on the hit Israeli drama Be 'Tipul. The show stars Gabriel Byrne as psychotherapist Paul Weston, and follows him over the course of a single session with a patient during each episode, concluding with Paul visiting his own therapist, Gina, played by Diane Weist. Constantly enmeshed in the suffering and neurosis of others, Paul's own life can take a backseat to those in his care. Harder still, is exiting shrink-mode when he's with Gina -- letting her take the driver's seat for that one hour a week while he takes the spot on the couch. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
Blockbuster action director Michael Bay delivers a striking look at a strange world of the future in this sci-fi action drama. Midway through the 21st century, Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) lives in a confined indoor community after ongoing abuse of the Earth has rendered most of the planet uninhabitable. One of the only places in the outside world still capable of sustaining life is an idyllic island where citizens are chosen to live through a lottery. Or at least that's what Lincoln and his fellow citizens are taught to believe; the truth is that Lincoln, like everyone he knows, is actually a clone who is kept under wraps to provide needed organs when the person who supplied his or her DNA falls ill. When he becomes aware that his existence is a fraud, Lincoln escapes to the outside world with a fellow clone, Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson), though the powers that be are determined to see that no one gets away alive. The Island also stars Steve Buscemi, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Sean Bean. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Drew (Drew Carey) is offered $5000 to do a live commercial for NeverendingStore.com during the Super Bowl. When it is revealed that he is not so much frightened as hungry, Drew stuffs himself with shrimp and crabcake just before the crucial Super Bowl ad--and the resulting "technicolor yawn" is witnessed by a worldwide audience in the billions! This was the last Drew Carey Show episode to air on ABC before the series went on a six-month hiatus. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Quite a bit can happen over the course of twenty-four hours, as evidenced in this film concerning an honorable Tel Aviv police detective who finds himself suddenly colored as a criminal just as he prepares to put away a notorious drug dealer and pimp. If police detective Amir Samo could end the day by putting away dope-dealing pimp Tziki, he may finally find the redemption that he's been searching for all these years. And Tziki's incarceration should have been a sure deal, too, though just as the case is set to be closed Samo receives some devastating news: two of Tziki's girls have just filed a sexual harassment claim against Samo, and as a result the detective is placed on an immediate leave of absence. Subsequently shunned by his superiors and smeared in the press, Samo becomes the laughing stock of the criminal underworld. The only place where Samo feels safe anymore is his neighborhood pub, though on this day not even elegiac barmaid Michal seems able to muster much sympathy for the disgraced detective. Michal has just dumped her boyfriend, a filmmaker who is currently working on a film based on the couple's experiences together. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
