A pair of irresponsible energy drink salesmen realize that serving a month of hard time is nothing compared to spending 150 hours in a community mentorship program after they trash the company truck and find themselves at the mercy of the court in this comedy starring Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd. Wheeler (Scott) and Danny (Rudd) wouldn't necessarily be the first people a parent would turn to when seeking out a babysitter, in fact, they probably wouldn't even make the list in the first place. After slamming a few too many Minotaur energy drinks and crashing the company truck, however, the two loose-living pals narrowly avert jail when the court decides to let them become mentors to a group of young misfits. But how is the recently dumped Danny supposed to help bashful, role-playing geek Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) become a man when all he can offer the boy is bitter sarcasm, and is beer-chugging man-child Wheeler really the best choice to help foul-mouthed fifth-grader Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson) develop more respect for his elders? Probably not, but they'll have to do their best anyway when the center's ex-con director (Jane Lynch) confronts them with a harsh ultimatum. The third season of the sitcom based on Chris Rock's recollections of his childhood focuses on Chris' ninth-grade year (1985-86). Many things change for Chris (Tyler James Williams) -- for one, he joins the school-newspaper staff, only to send the student body into a panic after he pens a fictitious article about a serial killer. And for the first time, another black student enrolls at Corleone Junior High, causing best friend Greg (Vincent Martella) to worry that Chris will abandon their friendship. Plus, Chris suffers from girl troubles-first with Tasha (Paige Hurd) and then with Carrie (Vanessa Toll), whose date with Chris for the ninth-grade dance causes a stir because of the interracial nature of their relationship. But Chris' biggest challenge comes at his junior-high graduation, when he learns that Greg plans to attend a different high school in the fall. Determined to stick with his buddy, Chris tries to raise money so he can go to Greg's ritzy private school, too. Women of the world beware -- the world's least likely male pleasure machine is back in business and breaching international boundaries in this sequel to the comedy hit Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. Despite his lack of enthusiasm for his career as a lover-for-hire, Deuce (once again played by Rob Schneider) is back to work as a gigolo when his former manager T.J. Hicks (Eddie Griffin) is accused of murdering a number of male escorts in Amsterdam. Needing to raise money for his friend's legal defense, Deuce is once again showing off the tricks of the trade in the European theater, while also dealing with the less-than-genial European Union of gigolos, a British school for male prostitutes, and some truly puzzling female clients. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
