Steven Strait Movies
West Village born and bred, male model Steven Strait worked with some of the best photographers in the business before making his small screen debut in an episode of the popular television drama Third Watch. Strait was educated at Public School Number Three before attending a Catholic High School, and though he would grow up a little faster than many thanks to his urban surroundings, the highly active youngster still found time to cut loose with a bit of basketball and boxing. It was during a workout session at a local gym that Strait was scouted by Boss Models agent John Babin, and though the classically handsome teen had retained a manager since making his stage debut in a Village Community School musical, it was finally time to move on to bigger and better things. Subsequently sent by Babin to A&F Casting directly after signing with Boss, Strait refined his acting abilities at the esteemed Stella Adler School for Acting and soon set his sights on the silver screen. His feature career launched with a supporting role in the 2005 family-oriented comedy Sky High, Strait would subsequently appear in the entertainment industry comedy drama Undiscovered before testing his skills with a substantial role as one of four teens bestowed with supernatural abilities in director Renny Harlin's The Covenant in 2006. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Two talented young people head to California looking for fame, but find love along the way in this romantic drama. Luke (Steven Strait) is a struggling rock musician who has decided to leave New York City for the seemingly greener pastures of Los Angeles. A few days before he leaves, he spots a beautiful girl on the subway who gives him a big smile, giving him brief second thoughts. However, Luke heads out to L.A. anyway, and after months of scuffling lands a gig -- and sees the beautiful girl, Brier (Pell James), in the audience. Brier is an aspiring actress who, like Luke, came to L.A. to boost her career; she's taking acting classes at a well-respected workshop, and has landed a less-than-glamorous but lucrative deodorant commercial. Luke and Brier strike up a friendship, though it's obvious he's interested in something deeper; as Luke tries to score a record deal, Brier and her best friend Clea (Ashlee Simpson) try to spruce up his image and create some buzz about his music. But as Luke falls hard for Brier, she develops greater qualms about getting involved with a musician who will spend half his life on the road, and their shared desire for that big break may be the thing that keeps them apart. An ordinary teenager finds out he's not so ordinary after all in this comedy-adventure. Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano) has his share of anxieties about starting high school, but once he arrives on campus, he discovers he's attending Sky High, a special learning facility for the children of superheroes. Will realizes his father is actually super-human crime fighter Captain Stronghold (Kurt Russell), while his mom is fellow champion Josie Jetstream (Kelly Preston). However, in Will's first few days at school, Coach Boomer (Bruce Campbell) is unable to discover any superior abilities in him, meaning that instead of joining the school's budding heroes, he's been relegated to the ranks of the lowly sidekicks. In time, Will discovers he happens to have super strength after all, but will he learn to hone his new gifts in time to fend off the bullies at school, get the girl of his dreams, and save his folks from a longtime nemesis?
