A young man raised in a polygamous cult struggles to escape with his childhood love. Victor (Mark L. Young) may have been raised in a hippie commune, but he never bought into the philosophy laid out by shady guru Insley (Rutger Hauer), who uses a technique called "running" to entrance and seduce his devoted female followers. Becky (Hanna Hall) was fortunate enough to get out of the cult while she was still young, but now her father is terminally ill and she must return to care for him. Victor has always loved Becky, and now he's being haunted by psychic visions of her untimely death. Meanwhile, the adults in the community remain blind to the damage that exposure to sex and drugs has had on their self-destructive offspring. Now Victor wants out, and he wants to take Becky with him. In order to finance their flight, he starts selling pot. When a teenage girl is faced with an unexpected pregnancy, she enlists the aid of her best friend in finding the unborn child a suitable home in this coming-of-age comedy drama from Thank You for Smoking director Jason Reitman. Juno (Ellen Page) may seem wise beyond her years, but after sleeping with classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera), the pregnant teen quickly realizes how little she really knows about life. Thankfully, Juno has been blessed with parents (J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney) who trust their daughter's judgment, and a best friend named Leah (Olivia Thirlby), who's always willing to help out in a pinch. With a little help from Leah, Juno soon comes into contact with Mark (Jason Bateman) and Vanessa (Jennifer Garner) -- an affluent suburban couple who have been unable to conceive a child of their own. Mark and Vanessa seem like they would make great parents, and are eager to adopt Juno's unborn child. A man hoping to make his way back to the big time starts by heading back to middle school in this comedy. When an outburst of anger during a game escalates into an embarrassing public indecent, McCormick loses his job and is banned from college sports.
