A cash strapped college student goes to work as an escort in order to make ends meet, only to realize that her education has taken a back seat to her budding career in the pleasure industry. In her struggle to stay financially stable during her first year at the university, 19 year old Laura (Deborah Francois) discovers that a part-time job just won't pay the bills. Then, just when Laura is at her most desperate, she sees an internet ad from a man who's willing to pay £100 an hour to spend an intimate evening with a willing student. Compelled by the lure of some easy money, Laura answers the ad. Later, despite a promise to herself that this will be a once time occurrence, Laura finds herself falling into a new bed every night, and making more money than she ever thought possible. Suggesting a French equivalent of a Maurizio Nichetti film, this slapstick farce was written and directed by Euro superstar Emmanuel Mouret, who (as in his five prior efforts) also plays the comic lead. He's Jean-Jacques, a nitwit inventor whose sole obsession in life involves chasing and seducing women. Meanwhile, he's just perfected his latest invention, an erasable magic marker that comes in handy at several unexpected times. When his girlfriend, the sexy blonde nurse Ariane (Frederique Bel) passes up intimacy with him several times in a row, he tries to taunt her by telling her about an inventive pick-up method that he used on Elisabeth (Judith Godreche), an attractive but enigmatic conquest whom he met in a café. Initially miffed, Ariane encourages him, sans hesitation, to draw on everything he's got to seduce and sleep with Elisabeth; Jean-Jacques complies. He doesn't realize, however, that Elisabeth is the daughter of the president of France (Jacques Weber). Five random days in the lives of a French family, spread out over a dozen years, paint a telling picture of the ups and downs of human relationships in this comedy-drama from France. Robert Duval (Jacques Gamblin) is a taxi driver who is married to Marie-Jeanne (Zabou Breitman), who has shed the bohemian ways of her youth with the passage of time. Robert's father (Roger Dumas) has been generous enough to give his son the comfortable home he shares with Marie-Jeanne and their children, but that doesn't mean there's always a genuine respect between them. A handful of women use their smarts and allure in the service of the French Resistance in this historical drama set during World War II. Louise (Sophie Marceau) is a beautiful woman recruited into the French underground by her brother Pierre (Julien Boisselier) while Nazi forces occupy their homeland. Maurice Buckmaster (Colin David Reese) is a British agent who smuggles Louise into London to give her a special assignment -- a British scientist working with weapons research has been captured by Axis forces and is being held in a French hospital. Louise is ordered to put together a team of female resistance fighters to find the scientist and smuggle him to safety before he can be forced to tell Nazi intelligence what he knows.
