A pampered Chihuahua accustomed to the living the good life in glamorous Beverly Hills must rein in her heiress instincts and rely on the kindness of strangers in order to find her way back home after becoming hopelessly lost in Mexico. Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) is a diamond-clad toy dog who favors traveling in her wealthy owner's purse over frolicking in an open park, and Papi (voice of George Lopez) is the kind of independent pup that she doesn't afford a second glance. When a vacation mishap leaves Chloe stranded in Mexico, the Chihuahua who doesn't speak a lick of Spanish must rely on street-smart German shepherd Delgado (voice of Andy Garcia) to guide her back home before she wanders any further south. Meanwhile, brave Papi races to the border intent on proving his love for Chloe by tracking her down and escorting her home in style. Along the way, Papi is joined by an enthusiastic pack of helpful pooches (voices of Luis Guzman, Plácido Domingo, and Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo) a pair of concerned humans (Piper Perabo and Manolo Cardona), an anxious iguana (voice of Paul Rodriguez), and a crafty rat (voice of Cheech Marin). ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In 1968, Australian boxer Lionel Rose became a worldwide celebrity overnight when in an upset victory he defeated Lighting Harada to become the world bantamweight champion. Rose's victory surprised many because he was only 19 years old, while at home his accomplishment was notable because he was the first Aboriginal fighter to win an undisputed international championship, and at a time when race relations were still tense issue in Australia, his victory allowed blacks and whites to come together in celebration. Rose successfully defended his title several times before he permanently retired from boxing in 1975 (with a career record of 42 wins and 11 losses), but while his success made him a hero for a while, he endured a number of disappointments -- problems with alcohol and the law and a messy divorce from his first wife -- before he became a wealthy and successful businessman later in life. Filmmaker Edward Martin chronicles the life and career of one of the great heroes of Australian sport in the documentary Lionel, which features new interviews with Rose and his contemporaries as well as rare newsreel footage of the boxer in his prime. A dirty bomb has detonated in Los Angeles and a terrified husband decides to seal himself up in his suburban home and await the return of his working wife in first time director Chris Gorak's tense and topical drama. As the sun rises on another day in Los Angeles, Brad (Rory Cochrane) sends his wife Lexi (Mary McCormack) off to work with a kiss and a smile. When the media begins reporting on the detonation of a bomb within the city limits and a potentially toxic cloud covers the L.A. basin in ash, Brad enlists the aid of nearby handyman Alvaro (Tony Perez) in making his home as airtight as possible while worriedly awaiting the return of his wife. With roads closed, telephone lines jammed, and reports of multiple explosions pouring in from the media, the panic and isolation of the tragedy begins to take its toll on the horrified community. Though announcements over public airwaves ensure that authorities are doing their best to ensure the arrival of help to those in immediate danger, Brad and the rest of the citizens of L.A. soon discover that the explosions were only the beginning of their horrific ordeal. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
