It's the fourth-season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and in addition to being nervous about his Broadway debut in The Producers, Larry (Larry David) only has a few days left in which to take advantage of Cheryl's (Cheryl Hines) anniversary gift. There are a couple of likely prospects, including his co-star in the show, Cady Huffman. Jeff (Jeff Garlin) helps Larry's cause with her by telling her that Larry suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, just like she does. Once the gang arrives in New York for the show, Jeff (Jeff Garlin) introduces him to Christina (Cynthia Ettinger) who describes herself as a "fellatio teacher." Larry continues his petty squabbles with David Schwimmer and gets into trouble with the hotel staff due to some confusion over gratuities. He also has to deal with his obnoxious cousin Andy (Richard Kind, who actually starred in The Producers on Broadway) and his special needs, and has a run-in with a hostile tourist (Stephen Colbert). The episode features many guest cameos including Mel Brooks, Susan Stroman (director of the Broadway show and the feature-film musical version of The Producers), Paul Mazursky, Nathan Lane, Jerry Seinfeld, and, in her last filmed appearance, Anne Bancroft. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

While celebrating his most recent courtroom victory, in which an accused cop killer was set free, a prominent attorney is gunned down. Though Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) are none too unhappy that the lawyer is out of commission, they dutifully investigate the murder, following the trail of evidence to an out-of-town white supremacist organization. While preparing his case for court, ADA Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) stumbles across a disturbing piece of evidence that may very well destroy the career of his longtime friendly adversary, defense attorney Danielle Melnick (Tovah Feldshuh). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

A teacher who worked in a school where a mentally challenged student was gang-raped is shot. The killing is revealed to be part of a vendetta, possibly tied in with the sexual assault. When time comes for prosecution, the attorney for the three rapists tries to secure a lesser sentence by arguing his clients did not know their victim was handicapped. Jennifer Bill makes her final appearance as Cathy, the troubled daughter of detective Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Among the stolen loot recovered from a purse snatcher is a handbag belonging to a missing model. Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) pursue the likelihood that the woman is not only missing, but dead. Though the purse thief is quickly dismissed as a suspect, the detectives have several others to choose from, including a limo driver and a pro basketball player. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Danny Glover plays Jerry, a caring street person who takes a mentally retarded Matthew Dillon under his wing, teaching him the survival smarts so necessary to society's left-overs. The two team up with three other vagrants in an attempt to build a nuclear group-support community and find little lasting security in the cold NYC street world. ~ All Movie Guide

After surviving a blast from a double-barrelled shotgun, Henry Jackson (Joe Seneca) is still able and willing to identify his assailant. It turns out that the shooter is an outspoken white supremacist -- and a serial killer who preys upon minorities. This is why Assistant D.A. A divorced, thirtysomething private investigator has an early mid-life crisis and goes looking for love. As a detective, Ryan specializes in providing evidence of infidelity for spouses seeking grounds for divorce. He is assisted by his partners Vernon, a genius with technical gadgetry and Dean, his free-wheeling cameraman. Dean frequently gives Ryan a hard time about having no discernible love life. This constant razzing wears on the over-analytical Ryan and he employs a computer dating service and through them meets the lovely Tura an independent-minded girl who is as emotional as Ryan is rational. Still the detective falls deeply in love with her. Unfortunately, he is afraid to commit and she dumps him. She begins seeing others and this makes Ryan so jealous that he begins using his equipment to surveil her.
