The low budget direct-to-video horror picture Acts of Death concerns the hazing rituals performed by a theatrical troupe at Baxter University. When one such initiation spirals out of control and leads to near-fatal injuries for a female inductee, the members agree to keep hush-hush about the incident, and thoughtlessly leave the girl to die. The horror film Invitation begins with a sequence that involves an oft-teased overweight boy being killed by a truck as he chases a baseball into the street. The main sections of the film take place 15 years after that event when the people the boy was playing with that tragic day are all invited to a "reunion" party at a secluded cabin.
