In this biker flick, an L.A. policeman becomes friends with another officer and the tough black leader of a biker gag. Conflict ensues, especially when the biker leader's ambitious and vengeful second in command beats up his girlfriend and abducts the leaders pregnant girl. He takes her on a wild ride that almost kills her and the child. He is pursued by the cop who eventually captures him, but not before the badguy slits his throat. Paul Newman plays the title role in John Huston's surreal, revisionist western as the infamous Texas hanging judge. Upon arriving in the tiny West Texas town of Vinegaroon, Roy Bean draws a moustache on a wanted poster of himself, marches into a saloon, and declares his presence. He is immediately robbed, beaten within an inch of his life, tied to a horse and dragged out into the prairie, then left to die. Rescued by a young Mexican girl, Maria Elena (Victoria Principal), Roy Bean heads back into town and murders everyone in the local saloon, declaring that he'll kill anyone of the same sort who turns up. He also sets himself up as the sole arbiter of law and order and renames the town Langtry, in honor of the legendary actress Lily Langtry (Ava Gardner). The community prospers as Judge Bean dispenses his own brand of frontier justice upon strangers passing by, robbing or killing anyone who tries to make their way through the town. But when Maria dies, Bean's old associates begin to turn on him, one at a time (in response to his constant harping on their wives, many of whom were former prostitutes) and Bean is forced to leave. Years later, Bean rides back into town, called back to the place to save his daughter from trouble - and finds that the community has been taken over by a shady character called Frank Gass (Roddy McDowall) - a circumstance that requires Bean to dispense his own unique brand of justice once again. Stacy Keach lends a neat comic turn to the film as Bad Bob, an albino gunslinger whose dining habits consist of chowing down on raw onion, drinking hot coffee from a pot, and demanding that an entire horse be cooked for his supper. When Dan (Jeremy Slate) wins a motorcycle worth $2,000, he plans to sell the bike for a down payment on a ranch and settle down. After the motorcycle is stolen by Tony (Michael Walker), Tampa (Adam Roarke) takes possession of it. Dan is soon after the thugs who took the bike and who are on the way to Mexico. One by one, Dan eliminates the crooks with boulders, fists, and ropes, and he makes grisly and effective use of a pit of rattlesnakes to exact his revenge. His girl Cathy (Jocelyn Lane) shudders in terror as the men beat themselves into bloody submission in this manic macho motorcycle movie. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

Those who worried that the Disney studio would collapse without the presence of the late Uncle Walt were put at ease when the profits starting rolling in for The Love Bug. The "star" is Herbie, a lovable little Volkswagen with a personality all its own. Abused by a bad guy race-car driver (David Tomlinson), Herbie is rescued by a good guy racer (Dean Jones). Out of gratitude, Herbie enables the luckless good guy to win one race after another. The real fun begins when the ruthless hot-rodder connives to get Herbie back through fair means or foul. The Jupiter 2 is inexorably drawn towards a planet ruled by a creature consisting of a blue mist, which is nourished by stark, raw, fear. In order to "feed" on the visitors from earth, the creature works overtime to terrorize Will (Billy Mumy), beginning with making the members of the Robinson family disappear, one by one, and planting the seeds of paranoia in the boy's mind. But when the creature is unable to strike fear into the heart of Will, its only recourse is to destroy the youngster--with a maddened Dr. Smith (Jonathan Harris) as the destroyer! Tony (Larry Hagman) has GOT to learn not to reveal his innermost desires to Jeannie (Barbara Eden). Case in point: When Tony expresses a wish that he could have lived in the old west, Jeannie transports him back to the 19th century frontier town of Gopher Gulch--and makes him sheriff to boot.Unfortunately, the town is overrun with rustlers, who aim to fill Sheriff Tony full of lead. Action expert William Witney glosses over the inaccuracies and inconsistencies in Arizona Raiders. Audie Murphy and Ben Cooper play members of Quantrill's Raiders, hoping to avenge the fallen South after the Civil War. Murphy and Cooper are captured by a Union officer (Buster Crabbe) (effectively cast as a villain) and sentenced to a long prison term. They are offered amnesty by the Union officer, who, appointed head of the Arizona Raiders, hopes to use the ex-confederates within his jurisdiction to drive Quantrill's men out of the territory. The two heroes spend the rest of the film juggling loyalties between the Union leader and Quantrill (Fred Graham). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In this western, a cavalry unit rides into a Comanche trap. If the patrol leaders cannot find a way out, they will all surely perish. Fortunately, a sympathetic Comanche woman helps them locate a secret passage which allows them to escape and get help. In this western, a gunslinger runs from the Dawson gang and decides to return home to the wife he abandoned many years before. There he finds that his infant son has grown into a thuggish hellion who has been lead to believe that his mother is dead. He also hates the father who left him. The mother isn't dead. She works as a saloon keeper, but her son doesn't recognize her. The father and son end up staging a showdown, and the father quickly outdraws his son. Later, the Dawsons catch up to the gunfighter. His son plans to do nothing to save him, but then he learns that his father left because his mother had cheated upon him. In this western, a young cadet is expelled from West Point and goes looking for the brother who was accused of stealing from the Union Army. En route, he befriends a young man and then meets a young woman at a church dance. During the festivities, a fight erupts and the three new friends end up escaping. Just outside of town, they meet a young man who was raised by the Comanches. He and the girl get married and the four continue searching for the brother. They are then joined by a cattle rustler. The group is pursued by the girl's angry father, angry ranchers, and Indians. Eventually they learn that the brother was robbed and murdered by greedy soldiers. Mayhem ensues as their pursuers catch up to them. In the end, the woman's husband dies and the young hero retrieves the money. Steel Fist was produced by William F. Broidy and Wesley Barry, the same team responsible for TV's Wild Bill Hickok series. Roddy McDowall stars as Erik, an idealistic young student in an unnamed Iron Curtain country. Pursued by the communist police for speaking his views, Erik is sheltered by the underground. While being smuggled out of the country, he finds time to fall in love with Marina (Kristine Miller), who unfortunately has also developed a close relationship with Red-army officer Giorg (Rand Brooks). Steel Fist is basically a WW II "French Resistance" film with names and nationalities changed to reflect the tinderbox situation in postwar Europe. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
