Weary and dispirited following the death of his wife Lorraine (Meredith Baxter) and after suffering a mild stroke, Buddy Bishop (Ronny Cox) anxiously reaches out to his estranged daughters Sarah (Tracy Needham) and Beth (Natasha Gregson Wagner), asking that they join him for a Christmas reunion. Despite a multitude of their own problems, Sarah and Beth agree--but they're not too happy about spending the holidays in the old, boarded-up house that Buddy had shared with his late wife. Circumstances change dramatically when the Bishops awaken one morning to find a beaming Lorraine waiting for them in the kitchen as if nothing had ever happened to her! The "resurrection" of Lorraine leads to a moving and inspirational conclusion in the made-for-cable Angel in the Family, which first aired December 18, 2004 on the Hallmark channel. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Irwin Winkler's paranoid thriller focuses on a high-tech nightmare, as a computer programmer finds herself on the run from an unknown enemy dedicated to ruining her life by digital means. Sandra Bullock stars as Angela Bennett, a programmer who unwittingly comes into possession of software that allows access to secret government information. At first, she thinks little of it, heading off to Mexico on vacation. However, thanks to a series of odd events that culminates with the death of a close friend, Angela starts to suspect she may be in danger. This fear is confirmed when she returns to America to find that her identity has been erased, with police computers showing her as a wanted criminal. She soon realizes that a group of evil conspirators are after the program, and she sets out to clear her name and keep the program from falling into the wrong hands. The central concept later inspired a cable TV series. ~ Judd Blaise, Rovi

The feverishly deranged minds at Troma Films endeavor to top their original cinematic stink-bomb Class of Nuke 'Em High with this excruciatingly awful mess -- which takes place at the newly-built Tromaville Institute of Technology (TIT), built after the nuclear disaster that mutated and destroyed most of the students and faculty of the Tromaville High School. It seems something gloopy is amiss once again, as certain members of the teaching staff are plotting to turn the students into hideous mutants (a negligible difference, to be sure). When Nuke 'Em High Junior College's ace reporter (Brick Bronsky) starts poking around, he soon finds himself nose-deep in a toxic quagmire of hideously bad music, sweaty youth gangs, bouncing naked ladies, sophomoric movie and TV in-jokes, bizarre food products, and (last but not least) "Tromie," the atomic squirrel. Finding this film a somewhat slicker effort than its predecessor is comparable to discovering a higher grade of plastic vomit, but the Tromites have certainly managed to pack this one to overflowing with sick humor (be sure to catch the closing credits), and cuddly Tromie is even more adorable than The Toxic Avenger (who puts in a cameo appearance). ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi
