Booster Gold, a self-loathing deadbeat from the 25th century, travels backward to "our" time in hopes of finding a place for himself in the world -- any world. Linking up with the Justice League, Booster Gold is assigned to "crowd control" during an epic battle between the Leaguers and the sorcerer Mordru. In the course of events, Booster inadvertently finds himself in the thick action -- and the situation doesn't make him feel one teeny tiny bit better about himself. ~ All Movie Guide

Daytime drama star and talk show host Kelly Ripa invaded the realm of ABC sitcomery in the weekly Hope & Faith. Something of a female Odd Couple, the series starred Ripa as Faith, a recently fired soap opera star (both of the characters she played were killed off by the writers) who left Hollywood and relocated to the suburbs of the Midwest. Here the flamboyant Faith moved in with her strait-laced control-freak sister, Hope (Faith Ford), and Hope's family, causing all sorts of chaos with Hope's husband, Charley (Ted McGinley), and three children. Evidently the series underwent a difficult gestation period, inasmuch as three main cast members were replaced after the pilot episode. In the conclusion of a two-part story, several Justice League members are still trapped in a 1950s-style alternate reality with their "Golden Age" counterparts, the Justice Guild. Several disturbing images suggest that the Guild is doomed to a horrible demise--and that their deaths would also seriously affect the League. As it turns out, the entire dilemma is but an illusion, stirred up by a heretofore unspected menace. In the first episode of a two-part story, several Justice League members are whisked off to an alternate reality, reappearing in Seaboard City, a town that seems permanently locked in the 1950s. Here the Leaguers meet their counterparts, the Justice Guild of America -- all of whom resemble the "Golden Age" versions of DC Comics' familiar superheroes. The League and the Guild team up to thwart the doppelgangers of the "real world's" villainous Injustice Gang, here known as the Injustice Guild. Throughout the action, J'onn J'onnz (The Martian Manhunter) continues receiving psychic messages indicating that what appears to be happening may not be happening at all! ~ All Movie Guide
