Unbeknownst to her husband, Jonathan (John Schneider), Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) has asked for help from her father (George Coe) to help pay off the Kent farm's ever mounting debts -- thereby setting up the first-ever meeting between Clark Kent (Tom Welling) and his grandfather, with whom Jonathan has always had a strained relationship. Elsewhere, the boyfriends of a girl named Krissy (Maggie Lawson) have a disturbing habit of aging rapidly in her presence; and Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) unearths a startling secret about her late mother and her "real" father.
