A talented but troubled high-school rugby star gets a second shot at redemption after being sentenced to serve time in a Salt Lake City boys' home and landing a coveted spot on the famed Highland High School rugby team in this inspirational sports drama from director Ryan Little (Saints and Soldiers, Everything You Want). Rick Penning (Sean Faris ) was the star player on his Arizona rugby team until his life took a turn for the worse. Now, after a fateful brush with the law, Rick finds himself out of the spotlight and forced to ponder the consequences of his actions in a Salt Lake City juvenile detention center. As fate would have it, however, Salt Lake's famed Highland High rugby team could use a player like Rick. With a little help from coach Larry Gelwix (Gary Cole), Rick may even be able to lead the Highland High team to the national championships. When Rick discovers that the team they'll be competing against is none other than his old team from Arizona, which is coached by his father, Richard Penning (Neal McDonough), the deciding game takes on a newfound sense of gravity in the eyes of the ambitious young athlete. An outsider teen acclimating to a new school finds a home in a reclusive teenaged fight club in this drama from Cry_Wolf director Jeff Wadlow. Jake Tyler (Sean Faris) has just moved with his family to Orlando, FL. While Jake isn't exactly comfortable being the new kid in town, his younger brother, Charlie (Wyatt Smith), is an aspiring professional tennis star who might just have what it takes to break big. But Charlie isn't the only talented athlete in the family, because Jake used to be something of a hotshot on the gridiron -- at least back home. Here in Orlando, Jake is considered something of a hothead thanks to his penchant for brawling. In an attempt to better fit in with his new classmates, Jake accepts flirtatious classmate Baja's (Amber Heard) invitation to a raucous party. There, the short-fused newcomer is lured into a fight and badly beaten by local bully Ryan McCarthy (Cam Gigandet). But a beam of hope shines through the humiliation when a classmate who sees potential in the defeated fighter informs Jake of a local MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) program run by Jean Roqua (Djimon Hounsou). Despite Jake's preconceived notions regarding MMA, he quickly discovers that it's not just another form of street fighting but a rich new art form that he longs to master. As Roqua takes Jake under his tutelage, it soon becomes apparent that in order to become a true MMA champion, Jake will have to learn patience, discipline, willingness, and reason. This isn't just a quest for revenge, but an opportunity for Jake to finally find out what kind of man he truly is. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

The weekly, hour-long Fox drama series Reunion covered 20 years in the lives of the six protagonists, from high school graduation in 1986 to adulthood in 2006. As conceived by creator Jon Harmon Feldman (Tru Calling), each episode would cover a different year, with different casts and locales, all leading up to the murder of one of the main characters in "the present." For season one, scenes of a police interrogation in 2005 led to flashbacks of 1986, allowing viewers tantalizing "then and now" glimpses of the principals, and providing clues as to who would be killed, who would be the killer, and why it all happened. Featured in the cast were Amanda Righetti as Jenna, Alexa Davalos as Samantha, Will Estes as Will, Sean Faris as Craig, Gregory Harrison as Russell Bennett, Dave Annable as Aaron, Chyler Leigh as Carla, and Mathew St. Patrick as Detective Marjorino. Reunion premiered September 8, 2005. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Two big families merge into one super-sized brood in this comedy. Frank Beardsley (Dennis Quaid) is a naval officer who has been raising eight children on his own after the death of his wife, and while he loves his kids, he rules his household with military precision. Frank has been alone just long enough that he decides it's time to start dating again, and he agrees to be set up on a blind date for a social function. To his surprise, his date turns out to be Helen North (Rene Russo), a girl he dated years ago when they were both in high school who, like Frank, lost her spouse not long ago. The old chemistry clicks anew for Helen and Frank, and he asks her to marry him. However, there's just a bit of a problem -- Helen is caring for ten children of her own, six of whom were adopted, and her artistic temperament makes for a very different household than Frank and his kids are used to. Frank and Helen decide to give this grand experiment a try, but the 18 siblings don't get along at all well at first, until they decide to set aside their differences and unite against a common foe -- their folks. Yours, Mine & Ours is a remake of a 1968 comedy of the same name, which starred Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball as the newlywed parents. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Not be confused with the British sitcom of the same name, ABC's Life As We Know It was produced by the same people responsible for the cult favorite Freaks and Geeks, and based on Doing It, a novel by Melvin Burgess. Set in Seattle, the series endeavored to delineate modern high school life as experienced by a trio of hormone-driven teenaged boys. Sean Faris played central character Dino Whitman, outwardly a sports jock and chick magnet, inwardly a kind, sensitive soul (and one easily hurt and offended, especially when he unearthed an unsavory secret about his parents). Chris Lowell played Jonathan Fields, a shy aspiring filmmaker whose view of life was filtered through the lens of his ubiquitous vidcam. And Jon Foster played Ben Conner, an academic overachiever who never could understand why he was always falling short in the eyes of his hyper-judgmental parents. Also in the cast were Missy Peregrym as Dino's girlfriend, Jackie Bradford, to whom abstention from sex was becoming more of a challenge with each passing day; Jessica Lucas as Jackie's sensible best friend, Sue Miller; Kelly Osbourne as Jonathan's eccentric gal pal Deborah Tynan; Marguerite Moreau as Ben's voluptuous (and available!) English teacher Ms. Monica Young; and D.B. Sweeney and Lisa Darr as Dino's parents, Michael and Annie Whitman. Described by the ABC publicity department as "A show about sex, school, and growing up (not necessarily in that order)," and further described by one media reviewer as "Sex, sex, sex!," Life As We Know It debuted October 7, 2004. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Directed by Joe Nussbaum, Sleepover revolves around one of the hallmarks of female friendship: the all-important slumber party. In hopes of shedding their not-so-cool reputations during the summer before their freshman year, best friends Julie (Alexa Vega), Hannah (Mika Boorem), Yancy (Kalli Flynn Childress), and Farrah (Scout Taylor-Compton) decide to host the sleepover of their lives. Far from a mere pillow-fight-laden girl talk-fest, this sleepover includes an intense scavenger hunt against the most simultaneously loathed and envied young women they know: the infamous "popular" clique. Along the way, the girls manage to hijack a car, sneak into clubs, engage in a first kiss, and learn more than a little bit about themselves and their capabilities -- all while evading the watchful eyes of Julie's mother. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide

Rosemary's Baby meets The Lost Boys in David DeCoteau's follow-up to his 2000 film The Brotherhood, which keeps the same setting as that film, an exclusive private school known as Chandler Academy. In this film, a warlock named Luc (Forrest Cochran) uses his powers to seduce three young students into doing his bidding. The tension builds as the students slowly discover that Luc may be using them as conduits to bring the Devil to life. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
