The third entry in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible film series involves super Impossible Mission Forces (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) being forced back into the field just when he was planning on marrying his girlfriend, Julia (Michelle Monaghan). The agency asks Hunt to save an operative (Keri Russell) he trained after weapons dealer Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) kidnaps her. With the help of his field team -- played by Ving Rhames, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, and Maggie Q -- Hunt achieves his goal, but becomes involved in a web of double-crosses that leave him wondering if he can trust his superiors (Billy Crudup and Laurence Fishburne). Eventually Davian threatens Julia's life in order to get away with his evil plan. Simon Pegg appears as an IMF tech expert. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide

This is the first episode of a two-part "crossover," to be concluded on ER's sister series Third Watch on April 29, 2002. After getting a disturbing phone call from her sister, Chloe (Kathleen Wilhoite), Susan Lewis (Sherry Stringfield) flies to New York, desperately hoping to locate both Chloe and Chloe's daughter, Suzie. Lewis enlist the aid of several Third Watch regulars, including police officers Faith Yokas (Molly Price) and "Bosco" Boscorelli (Jason Wiles), and paramedics Alex Taylor (Amy Carlson) and Kim Zambrano (Kim Raver). Back in Chicago, Abby (Maura Tierney) starts drinking again; Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) tries to make time with Chen (Ming-Na); and Elizabeth (Alex Kingston) considers staying with Greene (Anthony Edwards) during his final days. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

It is nothing unusual when impressionable Piper (Holly Marie Combs) falls in love again. What is out of the ordinary is that Piper's new beau, Mark (John Cho), is the ghost of a murder victim, who hopes not only to avenge his death but to arrange his own funeral before his body can be "claimed" by demonic forces. Elsewhere, the peripatetic Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) hopes to use her forecasting skills to good use -- and make big money in the bargain -- by going to work for a psychic. And while preparing for her birthday, Prue (Shannen Doherty) is laid low by a crushing disillusionment. Fans of the series (and even non-fans!) will certainly appreciate the scene in which co-star Alyssa Milano shows up in a fetching harem outfit. ~ All Movie Guide
