Randy Spelling Movies

Son of TV producer Aaron Spelling and brother of actress Tori Spelling, Randy Spelling made a modest career of appearing in projects that bore his family name. After a run on the short-lived Malibu Shores, Spelling joined the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 for portions of its seventh and tenth seasons and appeared regularly on the daytime drama Sunset Beach. In 2007, he found yet another way to use his surname to further his career, joining the cast of the cable reality series Sons of Hollywood, which followed the lives of the adult children of some former big show-business names. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

A man scarred by the horrors of war encounters a new low in human brutality in this extreme horror story. Trevor Lloyd (Jason Connery) is a veteran of the Iraq war who has had a falling out with his wife and has decided to head west to start his life over again. While hitch-hiking through Texas, Trevor gets a ride from Parker Hilton (Randy Spelling), who makes him an offer -- if Trevor wants to make some traveling money, he's welcome to work a few days at Hilton's ranch. Trevor eagerly accepts, but when he and a handful of other hitchers arrive at the Hoboken Hollow Ranch, they discovers they've made a horrible mistake. Weldon Broderick (Mark Holton) and his family of bloodthirsty psychopaths run the ranch with Hilton, and rather than pay laborers, they simply kidnap men unlikely to be found missing anytime soon, and work them as hard as they can for as long as they can. When the abuse and torture become too much to bear, Broderick and his cohorts kill the drifters and make jerky from their flesh. As Trevor searches for a way to escape from this living hell, eccentric local businessman J.T. Goldman (Michael Madsen) is trying to persuade Broderick to sell him his land, but unwittingly discovers the horrible secret of his success in ranching. Hoboken Hollow also stars Dennis Hopper, Robert Carradine, C. Thomas Howell and Jonathan Fraser. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

A young man chasing his destiny finds there are plenty of things following him in this independent comedy drama. Harlan (Randy Spelling) is a musician who dreams of playing salsa music for a living; however, Latin music isn't a big thing in the small Wyoming town he's always called home, so he packs up his belongings and hits the highway for bright lights of Los Angeles, where his friend Caesar (Matt Cedeno) has promised him a spot on his couch and an audition with a band. Harlan stops for a bite to eat along the way and meets a guy named Jude (Jason Priestley), who unknown to Harlan has slipped a bag of purloined jewels in his car. Upon arrival in L.A., Harlan aces his audition with the band, but the mysterious disappearance of Caesar alarms both Harlan and Caesar's attractive lady friend Tuesday (Diora Baird). As it happens, a handful of gangsters led by the sexy but dangerous Riley (Carmen Electra) have learned that Jude's valuables are in Harlan's car, and they'll stop at nothing to get them back, including kidnapping Tuesday. Hot Tamale received its world premiere at the 2006 Newport Beach Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The lowbrow side of higher education returns to the screen in this purposefully tasteless comedy brought to you by the folks at National Lampoon. It's a few days before Christmas vacation, and a mood of giddy enthusiasm is in the air at a coed college dormitory. However, one of the students, a freshman, is despondent over his lack of success with the ladies during his first term at school. His older brother decides the lad needs to lose his virginity before he can make any real progress with his classmates, and hires a prostitute named Dominique (Boti Bliss) to give his brother some experience in the ways of physical love. However, it turns out that more than one Dominique is on her way to the dorm -- a French foreign-exchange student with the same name and almost no working knowledge of the English language (Marie Noelle Marquis) also shows up, and much confusion and comic hijinks ensue. Shot under the title Dorm Day Crazy, National Lampoon Presents: Dorm Daze was produced independently, but was later picked up by the National Lampoon organization, who in turn arranged a distribution deal for the picture. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

This suspense film features Dennis Hopper as JD, a crazed kidnapper who hijacks a school bus (not unlike his crazed kidnapper in Speed) and holds the students hostage (one of the students is played by former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan). Even if the hostages are able to break free from their captors, they would have to survive the harsh terrain that surrounds the cabin in which they are being held. Lee Stanley's film was sold directly to Blockbuster Video, never gaining a theatrical release in the United States. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
