In Venice Beach, Joe (Randall Brady) has just finished beating up his wife, Rita (Elisabeth Brooks), and goes out to continue his rampage by beating up a transvestite named Angel (Scott Kaske). Meanwhile, Rita has taken refuge with her cousin Sara (Jillian Kesner), who previously had an affair with Joe. Angel shows up at Sara's a little while later. Sara's current lover George (Todd Starks), is getting a little on the side with an opera singer Oja Kodar), who also occasionally boffs her chauffeur, the aforementioned Joe. This film features a lot of uninhibited sex between its seedy characters, but not a lot else goes on. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi

"B"-sleaze auteur Fred Olen Ray pounded out this vampire parody, which stars career nerd Eddie Deezen as an affable dork and wannabe Hollywood hot-shot who discovers that a high-market bordello -- overseen by slinky Madam Cassandra (Britt Ekland) -- is actually a den of lascivious vampire bimbos from hell. Though his companions are easily lured by the ladies' deadly charms, Deezen takes a definite liking to his self-proclaimed title of Vampire Hunter, even going as far as to sew a crucifix into his skivvies. Laughing yet? This is actually one of Ray's more witty efforts -- with a manic pace, some clever in-jokes, copious amounts of skin, and a throwaway attitude that makes the relentless silliness a bit more palatable... although Deezen's hyperkinetic mugging may be more than some viewers can endure. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

This silly horror film stars Dean Jagger in a zoned-out performance as a mad scientist whose experiments in halting the aging process have reduced the residents of Smalltown, U.S.A. to shambling zombies. Since his serum requires massive amounts of extracted human pituitary fluid, Jagger is ever on the lookout for more unwilling donors -- i.e. nearly everyone unlucky enough to pass through town. This film is apparently assembled from pieces of two different projects, including an uncompleted film from the mid-'70s, and spiced up with some gratuitous nudity courtesy of former Playboy playmate Lynda Wiesmeier. As expected, the combination doesn't really work -- the editors have made a commendable attempt at maintaining some form of continuity, but the end result seems hardly worth the effort. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

In this provocative and scary supernatural thriller, a brides happy honeymoon aboard an Acapulco-bound yacht with her husband, two of his buddies from Vietnam and their girl friends, turns to terror when someone or something begins to kill them one by one. In the end, only she lives to tell the grisly tale via flashback. It seems that the killings have something to do with the terrible things the veterans did to the innocent back during the war. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

First, a crazed and fighting Malcolm (Peter Jason) is hauled off to an asylum by two men just that much tougher than he is, and then this film jumps ahead several years to Halloween at Malcolm's old home. His wife, Joan (Carrie Snodgress), and her live-in lover, Richard (David Carradine), are about to go out, while son Christopher (Chris Graver) stays home with Linda (Jackelyn Giroux), a soon-to-be unhappy babysitter. When Linda and Christopher are alone, the chubby little devil decides to play endless practical jokes on the poor woman: he "chops" his finger off, he "kills" himself, and commits all sorts of make-believe mayhem until she sits him down and tells him the story of the hapless boy who cried wolf just a bit too often. Meanwhile, dressed as a nurse, the crazy Malcolm has managed to escape from his confinement in the asylum, and as he makes his way through the streets in drag (it is Halloween, who's to notice?) he finally arrives at his former house, lusting for vengeance, just when little Christopher's pranks are reaching their worst. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

When the Burbank Karate Club embarks upon a relaxing cruise, the last thing they expect to encounter is hippie smugglers, white slavery, and man-eating monks looking to raise Karate masters up from the grave, but they do in this lively and decidedly off-beat and campy Hong Kong martial arts adventure. Much of the film is comprised of footage from Roger Corman's 1978 horror film Piranha. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Low-budget action specialist Cirio H. Santiago directed this Philippine-set martial arts film, which bears more than a passing resemblance to his earlier T.N.T. Jackson and his later Angelfist. Jillian Kessner stars as Susanne Carter, a karate expert whose sister is murdered by mobsters. Genre regulars Ken Metcalfe and Vic Diaz co-star, and Kessner has a nude karate scene. Like most of the prolific Santiago's actioners of the period, this was released by exploitation specialist Roger Corman's New World Pictures, with ads touting Kessner as champion of the 1981 Black Belt Olympics. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

Rita Moreno returns as Rita Capkovic, prostitute par excellence. When Rita decides to give up the streets in order to begin life anew as a beautician, she is savagely beaten by her pimp Al Haluska (Jerry Douglas). Jim offers to provide shelter and protection to Rita until Al can be dealt with--an act of generosity that will prove quite detrimental to Jim's blossoming romance with Linda Hassler (Corinne Michaels). This relatively lightweight episode is capped by a shocking climax. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
