In this 90-minute conclusion of a two-part story, a homeless mute, who has been accused of a child's murder by the victim's father, has killed himself. Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) and Diane (Kim Delaney), convinced that the dead man was framed by the child's father (Brian Markinson), whom they believe to be the actual culprit, try to get to the truth by working on the mother (Annie Corley).
