Mark Consuelos Movies
A handsome and prolific television actor who first rose to fame as a regular fixture on the long-running soap opera
All My Children -- for which he earned two ALMA Awards and a Daytime Emmy nomination --
Mark Consuelos made waves in the entertainment industry when he married
All My Children co-star
Kelly Ripa before going on to appear in such series as
Missing and
Hope & Faith.
Born in Zaragoza, Spain, the worldly future actor spent much of his childhood in Lebanon, IL, and Tampa, FL. Upon graduating from Bloomingdale High School in Illinois,
Consuelos attended Notre Dame University and subsequently studied marketing at the University of Florida. Early acting roles included performances in Hello Dolly at the Looking Glass Playhouse in Lebanon, IL, and an off-Broadway production of
Howard Korder's Boy's Life.
Consuelos found his first major screen role when he was cast on
All My Children in 1995. In the following years, he became something of a small-screen fixture thanks to frequent television roles.
With roles in such features as
My Super Ex-Girlfriend and
The Pleasure of Your Company (both 2006), it appeared that
Consuelos was working hard to launch a feature-film career, though he did prove an amiable host for the 2007 May/December reality romance series
Age of Love as well.
In 2008 he produced and acted in For the Love of Grace, and in 2010 he had a part in Kevin Smith's action comedy Cop Out.
He also presided over the wedding ceremony between Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky.

Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan team up for the Warner Bros. police buddy movie Cop Out in this Kevin Smith-directed production. From a script by Robb and Mark Cullen, the story centers around police detectives Jimmy (Willis), a no-B.S. divorced dad, and Paul (Morgan), a crazy-talking loose cannon. Despite nine years as partners, the two lawmen can still sometimes seem like polar opposites -- especially when Paul's unpredictable antics get them suspended without pay. Already strapped for cash and trying to pay for his daughter's wedding, Jimmy decides to sell a rare baseball card that's worth tens of thousands. Unfortunately, when the collector's shop is robbed and the card vanishes with the crook, Paul and Jimmy end up going rogue, tracking down the card and the drug ring behind its theft, all on their own time, and without any backup -- except for each other. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

Making its NBC debut on June 18, 2007, the reality series Age of Love was by its very nature slated for a very limited run. Somewhat reminiscent of The Bachelor, the series focused on celebrated 30-year-old Australian tennis star Mark Philippoussis. One of the world's most eligible bachelors, Philippoussis was ensconced in a Manhattan high-rise luxury apartment, where over a period of several weeks he was to take his pick of thirteen beautiful women. The series' title derived from the fact that the ladies' ages ranged from 21 through 48--and they had been instructed by the producers to emphasize their ages when commisserating with Mr. Philippoussis. Would the sexy tennis champ choose his sweetheart based solely on her youth, or would he opt for a more mature (and, it was hinted, more reliable) "love match"? Age of Love was hosted by Mark Consuelos, who like most TV hosts of this nature knew the value of discretion and kept himself scarce as much as possible! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

A regular guy finds out just how hard breaking up can truly be when attempting to call it quits with a clingy female crime fighter who doesn't want to let love die in director Ivan Reitman's super-powered romantic comedy. Matt Saunders (Luke Wilson) was looking for love when he first met pretty brunette Jenny Johnson (Uma Thurman), and at the time it seemed as if he may had finally actually found it. Jenny isn't just your typical girl, though, because despite her outwardly normal appearance she is actually a powerful superhero dedicated to ridding the streets of crime. Her outward strength betrays a deep-rooted insecurity, too, and when Jenny begins to become a bit too possessive for Matt's laid-back taste, the troubled boyfriend does his best to end the relationship amicably. They say that breaking up isn't easy to do, however, and when your girlfriend is a superhero, that sentiment holds twice the truth as it does under any normal circumstances. Matt is determined to get on with his life, though, and as his budding romance with beautiful co-worker Hannah (Anna Faris) begins to get serious, jealous Jenny scornfully slips into G-Girl mode to prove that hell hath no fury like a woman superhero scorned. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

John Dahl directed this war drama based on the true story of one of the most daring military actions of World War II. In the waning days of World War II, General Douglas MacArthur chose to make good on a pledge that he made in 1942 -- that he would return to the Philippines after he and his troops were forced to retreat. However, MacArthur's determination was more than a matter of pride. Over 500 American soldiers were being held in Cabanatuan, a notoriously brutal prisoner of war camp in the Philippines operated by the Japanese army, and MacArthur wanted to see to it that they made it home. MacArthur chose Lt. Col. Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) to lead the Sixth Ranger Battalion on a mission 30 miles behind enemy lines to infiltrate Cabanatuan and liberate the American prisoners. With the help of Capt. Prince (James Franco), Mucci leads his men on a life-or-death raid against forces known for their savagery. The Great Raid was based on William B. Breuer's book The Great Raid on Cabanatuan: Rescuing the Doomed Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor, and also stars Joseph Fiennes, Connie Nielsen, and Marton Csokas. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Full-figured Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won an Emmy award for her performance in the musical version of Hairspray, is felicitously (if somewhat incongruously) teamed with slender soap opera heartthrob Mark Consuelos in this uplifting made-for-cable comedy. Although she's not what one could call beautiful or svelte, Becca Wasserman (Winokur) possesses a beauty that emanates from within: she also happens to be great singer, with a great career as a teacher and a super-great fiancé named Adam (Consuelos). All Becca lacks is the money to afford her dream honeymoon to Hawaii. Partly to get even for being snubbed by the gorgeous Libby (Reagan Pasternak), and partly just to prove that she can do it, Becca enters the The Miss Squirrel Hill beauty pageant, the first prize of which is two free tickets to the Aloha State. But though everyone is pulling for Becca, the plain cold fact of the matter is that no "super-sized" woman has ever won the pageant--and even Becca's mom Amanda (Fran Drescher), hitherto her daughter's biggest booster, is certain that Becca is going to make a fool of herself. Beautiful Girl originally aired October 19, 2003 on the ABC Family channel. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

A lawyer must decide if his greatest loyalty is to his family or to justice in this drama. Jake DeMitro (Seamus McNally) is an attorney whose life and career are falling apart; while he was a star student at a well-respected law school and has a important position as a prosecutor, he's developed an obsessive-compulsive disorder and is constantly butting heads with Brian O'Leary, his frequent opponent in court. His relationship with his girlfriend Kelly Francini (Rebecca Budig) is also beginning to fray. With DeMitro already walking on an emotional tightrope, he discovers his father, a doctor, is being investigated for his possible involvement in a drug ring, and detectives are hoping to link the drug charges to the recent murder of DeMitro's sister. Based on a novel by Kenneth Del Vecchio, Pride and Loyalty features a supporting cast of actors best known for their work on daytime dramas, including Mark Consuelos, John Bolger, and Marj Dusay. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
